Morning everyone, A couple of days ago Twinkle asked a question re PMK cd.She was the last one to post that day and I think her post probably wasn't seen by many of us. It was about the counting backwards procedure that PMK asks us to do.Twinkle tries to continue counting for the entire CD.I hardly ever make it past about 189.As soon as PMK starts asking me to step into images etc, counting stops for me.I just can't do both at once. How do you use the CD? Do you think we really are meant to keep up the counting throughout the CD.Bringing ourselves back to it when we drift off target? Or do you think it doesn't make any difference what we do? I think what I'm doing may stop me going into the trance like state we are meant to achieve. Please ,please give this some serious attention as it has become like searching for the meaning of life for me!I need to get out more.lol

Good morning dec, to be honest, I dont think it matters as long as your really relaxed. I give up counting after a few minutes too, I think if you try and count all the way thro, or are too focused on the numbers your not listening to Paul. I cant do both for very long.

Hi Dec and MJM That's a question I needed answering too. I have tried it both ways and have have counted down to 1 but do think I don't concentrate on what PMK is saying if I do it this way. I tend to try to let it just drift off and maybe come back to it if I start thinking of other things (like work)!! I am finding it useful though and have actually lost a few pounds hope it continues. I like the fact that it's common sense really - eating when hungry and listening to your hunger. Keep up the good work. Jud x

Morning dec and mjm. I don't keep the counting up for vey long either. I think the idea is just to stop you thinking about other things until you are relaxed. It reminds me of when I had my tonsils out as a child and I was asked to count backwards from 10 as I went under the anaesthetic. I don't even stay awake for the whole PMK CD, never mind keep counting. Perhaps PMK has an anaesthetising effect on my brain. That could explain a lot !

Hi Dec, mjm, judd and SV
I barely count at all my mind wanders and as he says "its a bit like dreaming but you are aware".
I don't think it matters as it is your sub-concious he is appealling to.
I do worry that I am finding his voice strangely sexy (LOL)...

It was me It was me.........I am here........I am the one who concentrates so hard on counting down that I don't take in what PMK is saying............probably my problem.
A question.........who has the journal? Is it worth getting?

Hi dec,mjm,jud,sella,gilley,thimble and everyone
I don't get very far with the counting backwards, but I agree that it's the being in a state of relaxation that's important. That reminds me, I really need to listen to pmk more regularly. Can't say I find his voice sexy, gilley - but hey, if it works for you! lol Thimble, I don't think it matters about taking in everything he says - it works in your subconscious anyway. I was really sceptical at first, but it really does work.

Hi everyone, Thanks for your replies and keep them coming all suggestions gratefully received! Gilley have you tried Bromide in your tea? It might help. Thimble,I have the journal but haven't really been using it.I think it could be quite a good aid keeping on track but you could probably do pretty much the same by keeping a daily diary of your own.Writing down your achievements of the day and what your aims are etc and keeping a note of weigh in results. My mind does tend to wander a lot whilst I'm listening to him so perhaps your suggestions that I should start counting again at those times will help me get back on track then. As I said on another post I do have trouble with the visualisation part of things.I don't "see" myself thinner,I don't get a picture in my mind, but I do think when that happens I'll buy myself a red wrapover dress. But I feel a bit cheated I want piccies in my brain.Does everyone else get them? It's so not fair!!

Hi dec, I have trouble picturing myself too, so I just think thin thoughts - after all, I don't want my mind wandering like gilley's! It's very easy to find a millionaire sexy, don't you think, girls? And his voice is quite soothing.

Hi Sella, When I was posting my last reply it crossed my mind to say it's a good job Gilley doesn't use the same aid as Hussy when listening To PMK.She really would have trouble concentrating then! I was going to say it then realised it might not be in good taste so I didn't.I managed to keep it to myself until now!Oops. Your talk of millionaires conjured up images of bits again and nibbling and sent me right off the rails. Now how does it go? 300,299,298,297.....ZZzzzzz.

Like Sella, I can't ever stay awake for the whole CD. I'll take pmk's word for it that it's not sleep, it's like daydreaming - but you could have fooled me!

Its only me then - nobody else secretly does?? LOL

For Dec and anyone else that has difficulty seeing piccies of themselves thinner.
Imagine the feeling of your clothes on your slimmer body, waistbands that are loose, clothes that have a size label saying a smaller size. Hear the swish of a floaty skirt that has room to move!
The main thing is to imagine how much better it would feel being thinner.
Hope that helps.

Gilley, you have made me laugh so you get brownie points from me and I will spare a thought for you every time I listen to PMK. Your post made me think of sexy voices.I love Sean Connery's but for me the best voice of all time has to be that of James Mason.Shows how old I am.Gilley probably won't even know who I'm talking about.I'll ask hunky toy boy if he has any idea who James is to check out the age thing. Duncs,Thanks,I'm swishing, swirling and even, dare I say it,Flouncing in my imagination as I sit and type this. Not a pretty sight I can tell you!lol

Hi girls, dec its not an "aid" for goodness sake, you make me sound like a real hussy instead of an incontinent menopausal sort of hussy. However I have to confess gilley that I have been considering asking if anyone else finds him sexy, or maybe it is my pelvic exerciser (note please dec)or whether because he keeps telling me I'm gorgeous. Well thats what I hear anyway, but there is something happens to me........... Thimble I do like the journal, particularly for the days I don't have time for se........sorry the cd.

Hussy, whatever you say it is an aid! It's aiding you to do your pelvic exercises. And your latest post has me thinking it's much less innocent than you would have us believe!
I wonder if PMK realises he is a sex symbol? Perhaps he is giving out subliminal messages to make us think he is wonderful and it's only got to you and Gilley so far?
It would be a great marketing ploy wouldn't it?We'd all be fighting to buy his new CDs

His latest book is "I can make you sleep". With whom, I wonder, with whom?
duncs, if I did that I'd be worried about my knickers falling down, but if I was near a radiator the magnet would keep them up !

Apart from trying to concentrate on counting the other things I find hard is trying to think of anyone who respects me and loves me and imagine how they see me. I don't have anyone who thinks that so it is very hard. Also I like lots of famous people but cannot seem to pick just one who I would like to look like.
Oh yes................I know now who I can use Felicity Kendall. Men say she is very sexy and lovely.
Sella_Vee I think that book sounds great. Like you I wonder who he can make us sleep with.............

Thimble, if you can't think of anyone who loves and respects you now can you perhaps look back to your childhood and think of someone from that time who thought you were truly special? Or,and I really don't mean to be flippant or insulting,a loving pet animal. My cat and dog used to look at me with such love and devotion that they made me feel so wonderful.I think you mentioned a dog in one of your posts.I'm sure he/she thinks you are truly wonderful.I'm actually thinking of getting an animal again because I really miss the unconditional love they give. Actually on a different note I can't remember PMK asking which famous person would we want to look like.Is it on the CD or in the book? Not sure who I would choose either!
