You are in the right place for the wine bit of the diet anyway Congrats on your earlier weight loss I am sure you will be successful this time too. Not sure what I need to lose in kilos but know that it is more than it was in December, as a combination of snow and frozen pavements and a broken wrist has put paid to my plans to walk everyday!
I visited Girona last January and thought it was lovely, how long have you lived there?
Cheers

hola deidre and Fiona and Susie I might give the wine and chocolate diet a try we have great wine down in this part of Spain for 1€ a bottle and chocolate is only 60cents in Lidl it would be cheap even if it doesn`´t work . Fiona I was in Riga last year for midsummers day and loved it ,

At those prices it would nearly be a crime not to try the diet
Riga is lovely in the summer but not quite so lovely at the moment, and the food doesn't really lend itself to diets as everything seems to be accompanied with lashings of sour cream!

well thanks to all for your comments it has really helped to think there are a lot of you out there who empathise. it's going well will tell you weight loss next tuesday on first of my own weigh-ins!! have kept to diet (it is from w& h magazine a couple of months back) and hope it works as well as cheese diet i did last year. as i have to lose a lot and keep it off i thought this might be a good one. have dieted three times with pills and doctors and have lost 25 kilos each times only to put it all back on and more so now it's a case of slowly change the lifestyle but to a sustainable one. sounds very green don't you think!! even if it's really black and red! ha!ha!

so sorry about your wrist we don't have bad winters but after thirty years in the canary islands (after england) notice the colder weather in winter - mostly being stuck indoors so much because i suffer with bronchitis, etc. will never complain again when the wind blows now i know you have it much worse . keep smiling and look forward to the spring. do you have good hot summers or are you like england where it never gets off the ground!
