Is it just me ?
      #307098 - 14/01/2009 08:41

I love a good read but often pick up books in charity shops because of the costs involved of my voracious habit, however i seem to latch onto obsure authors and then find it really difficult to get their back copies because they are only available in the USA!! Here's just a few examples James Rollins fantastic but slow to get over here sort of Da vinci code meets MI5!! Steve Berry historical thrillers based on the greats of history templers, Alexander the Great. Richard Montesori fantastic crime thrillers. How do I know that they will be so obscure when I pick them off the shelf it must just be a gift!!!

Have you tried your library. I am a big fan of ours and get books out on CD so I can listen whilst twiddling, and ironing etc.

Have a look at Alibris - it's the Amazon version of out of print and hard to get books - definitely worth a look.
