Good luck. I hate getting my hair cut, never like it until about 2 weeks later when i've got used to it.

When I was last at the hairdressers, I wanted to have it cut really short, but realised as I am a bigger lady it wouldnt really do anything for me other than exacerbate the fact that I am a bigger lady.

I love to see short hair on other women, but I think you have to have a good look at yourself before going ahead.

Go for it, have it coloured blonde as well, I bet you will look really glamourous, you have to do these things sometimes in life, dont always go on what other people advise.

You could have it cut shorter than you have it already, but perhaps not extremely short.

I have an appointment on Tuesday and I want to have a fair amount cut off my shoulder length hair. I'm not sure if I'm ready to go short short so will probably cop out and have some sort of 'bob'. The only problem with short hair is that you do have to keep having it cut.

Have spent the past 6 months growing my hair but still having it styled and coloured. (I maybe in rural France but I refuse to give in) Had it done pre Xmas, just a trim and colour. My kids didn't like it OH didn't and I felt 70 not 50. So, back to salon and had a "threepenny all off" (northern slang for a short cut). I love it. I look and feel 20 yrs younger. Go for it. It will grow back, it's only hair.

My hairdresser persuaded me to go shorter a few months ago, and yesterday, my usual lady being ill, I opted for a 'tidy-up' with another hairdresser. Needless to say, I am now nearly bald.

So it has made me realise what hard work it is. If you are not careful, short hair can look hard and unflattering. It needs washing every day, then gel or wax, as well as full make-up and dressy earrings. The end result is good, but I sometimes wish for a longer, softer, more relaxed look, even if it is less up-to-date.
