Mascara

I have fair eyelashes and have from the age of 14(i am now 54) always worn lots of mascara.I will not leave the house without it.Pathetic i know.I sometimes have my eyelashes dyed but this is never very good and the results dont last very long.I am always buying new mascaras and have just bought Clinique High Impact mascara. It is FANTASTIC.I have quite long eyelashes anyway due to the fact i believe that since the age of 14 i have always taken off my mascara with good old fashioned Vaseline. This seems to encourage growth and keeps them supple.Anyway this is a great mascara and you will have long thick curled lashes with no flaking or clumping.

That sounds like a good one.
I bought the Max Factor False Lash one this week. So far so good, not sure if it's their best though yet.

Helen, doesn't the vaseline go a bit smeary on your eyes? I'm interested to know as that would be a great cheap eye-make remover....

I've got fair lashes and I use the High Impact mascara too and it's fantastic. I didn't expect much after seeing the size of the brush (quite small) but it was well worth the money.

I look forward to trying the Clinque one next time I need one. I recently bought Max Factor Masterpiece and am pretty impressed with it as well.

Hi MariaE
When ive removed the mascara(just close your eyes and gently rub it into the eyelashes then remove with soft tissues)then i use the wonderful Liz Earle Cleanse and polish and Hot Cloth Cleanser all over my face including my eye lashes. It is so gentle doesnt sting and removes all makeup and the last of the mascara.Vaseline doesnt make my eyes go smeary and i have been doing this for a long long time. The only downside is that it doesnt remove waterproof mascara. For that then i use Clinique Take the Day Off.However, since i hardly ever wear waterproof i have saved a fortune over the years! Try it.
