Right girls, this is where we all post the amount of weight we have lost (or gained!) since last Friday (or Monday if you started then). Also any useful tips, successful diets etc that you may want to share with your diet buddies.
Next Friday we will have a Slimmer of the Week award for the person(people) who have lost the most weight in the week beginning tomorrow

I joined Weightwatchers last night and have 3 stone to lose which I've gained since being diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis 3 years ago, ie. one stone per year. My weigh in is on Wednesdays so is it OK to join in next week and post after weigh-in? I need lots of motivation as I have the motivation of a knat and got the shock of my life as I was sure I was a stone lighter than I actually am

Thanks.

Do you mind if I join in too?? I need to lose at least 3 stone and dont have much will power so the support of this thread would be good. The thought of having to tell on the forum how I've done should give me the motivation I need to keep away from all those sugary snacks....crisps....chocolate...bread. The list is never ending!!!

Yes, please do join in, both of you. Just start when you want. We will all be declaring our weight loss (hopefully!) every Friday. I thought before the weekend would be better than after!!!

I supposedly started my 'diet' on Monday - gave up drinking the Saturday before, and started the gym on Monday as well.

BUT my healthy eating plan has not gone well and I've been hitting the biscuits and feeling generally hungry. In a bid to get the 'wind beneath my wings' to a manageable level, I've cut out bread and wheat products and have been having porrige oats for breakfast, but I find they just make me really hungry for the rest of the day. Does anyone one else find this ? I reverted to toast this morning, but that's not good as I 'burble' the rest of the day (you'd be forgiven for thinking you were in the middle of Yellowstone Park)

Breakfast is really the most difficult meal of the day - it's got to be quick and easy, but it's got to fill you up and it can't be wheat based, oh and I don't eat yoghurt. Any suggestions would really be gratefully received.

From a 'very fussy' Betty

okay here we go. I have lost a whole pound - big deal, just 13 more to go! Trouble is, over the last week and a half I have lost a pound, put it back on, lost a pound, put it back on etc. We are off to London tomorrow too which means I'm doomed and it will go back on and perhaps even more.

I just have cereal for breakfast but that is okay as I can keep myself pretty occupied. It is later in the day which is my main problem, early to mid afternoon. Work has pretty well dried up at the moment too, which doesn't help, as I work from home.

Can't stand yogourt either. Danone used to do a nice strawberry cereal but stopped it some time ago and can't even face trying the others. Getting through quite a few clementines and have curbed the booze a bit, though difficult with OH, as after a hellish day at work (which is nearly every day), he likes an evening tipple.

Betty, I'm surpried porridge doesn't fill you up. It does me and I'm a real greedy little monkey!
I use Scotts old fashioned oats, made with soya milk and sprinkle seeds on it. I don't worry about the cup measurement they advise, I use a mug! What oats did you use as i think some of the quick ones aren't as filling.

I'd like to join the club as well. I usually weigh myself on a Monday morning, after the weekend damage! I'm just the same as Susie, I lose a bit in the week and back on it goes over the weekend.

I need to lose a stone at least, 1.5 would be lovely but even half a stone now would be good.

Morning Aquarius,I was 10st/11lbs before Christmas & Im now 10st/6lbs...I have just cut out eating rubbish inbetween meals & cut down my portions...I measure my food from ramakin dishes, for example I had a ramakin of homemade soup for my dinner followed by a chicken dinner in another ramikin then pineapple & yogurt...It may sound like very small portions but you would be surprised how eating from smaller dishes still fills your appetite...

Thankyou,Cathy X

Hi fellow diet buddies

Can I please join in as I go back to WW on Monday after a long spell away. I go with my sister who looses her weight very easily and it puts me off so maybe this forum will keep me motivated as I need to loose about 3 stone

I will post my weight loss on Monday after weekends damage
I do a lot of walking in my work average about 15000 steps a day so I need to get back out and walk more as my body is used to this amount so here goes

Good luck everyone
Teresa

I need a diet buddy too, why is it so easy to put the weight on and so hard to take it off!!
I need to lose a stone or preferably 1.5 then I could fit in all my clothes again - wonderful!!!
Have started listening to Paul Mckenna cd and must admit have not felt as hungry this week, is it all in my imagination?
Am going away for the weekend tonight so will try to be good but still have a good time.
Jud

Morning Ladies.

I'd like to join too. I have a stone to lose and I'm following weight watchers although not attending meetings. I weighed myself for the first time on Sunday so I'll let you know how I've done on Monday.

chattycathy portion size is a big thing for me too. I'm thinking of buying some electronic scales. Can anyone recommend some?

Jud..I don't listen to the PMK cd as I lost mine and don't really want to pay out for another. There is a thread on health and welbeing where people are following PMK with lots of success.I just try to follow the foru golden rules which are ( Ithink)
Eat when you are hungry
Eat what you really want
Eat conciously
Eat til you are comfortably full

This is mainly the What I put on over Christmas, so I expected it to come off when I went back to normal.

Can I please join too?

I weighed myself on Tuesday...the scales said "one at a time please" (well, they might as well have done!). I don't think I will have lost anything already, so I will try to refrain from weighing myself until next Friday and post my new slimline (!) weight then.

I would like to lose 1 stone in order to still fit into my "fat" clothes, or 2 stone to be a healthy weight, or 3 stone to be the weight I was aged 21.
