Spots and blemishes
      #299741 - 07/01/2009 14:05

Hi

Ever since I had my second child 5 years ago, my skin has become oily and prone to spots and blemishes.

Can anyone recomend a skin care product which will help reduce this?

Sorry Lindamid, I'm afraid I can't help but I just didn't want you to think no-one was answering....I'm sure some of the ladies will come up with suggestions.

Lindamid,
Have you tried tea tree oil, boots/superdrug sell it.

Or maybe try a skin care range like Liz earle available from her web site or via QVC the shopping channel.

Lindamid
this happened to me in my 30's. Turned out I had rosacea, and had to go on tetracycline to get rid of it. In the meantime, you could use a concealer; I'v found the one from Rimmel really good (better than the expensive ones)

Hi

Thanks for the advice, think I will try the tea tree oil first and the concealer is a good idea. I currently use clinique foundation which hides a multitude of sins but the concealer is a good idea for when I'm out and about and need emergency repair!

Thanks so much.

Linda

Hi Lindamid

I had a similar problem some time ago. Elemis Emergency SOS cream worked a treat. It is a bit expensive but once it had sorted out my skin I rarely needed to use it again. Sometimes you can get good Elemis deals on Ebay or someone is selling a trial size so you can try that first.

Now I just treat the rare spot with a witchhazel and tea tree oil stick that Boots do which works really well too.

Gill
