Southampton/ Bournmouth area Sunday Walk / Lunch 11th Jan New Forest
      #299354 - 07/01/2009 04:23

Hi everyone and Happy New Year

We have another virtuous walk and luscious lunch planned for Sunday 11th January.

We thought a nice leisurly tromp through the New Forest this time - walk of some of those mince pies.

We are meeting at "The London Tavern" in Poulner just off the A31. near Ringwood.

We plan to meet in the carpark at 11am

http://www1.webng.com/thelondontavern/index.htm

The walk is 3.5 miles long (about 2 hours) and on good tracks going through Linford Bottom - so the mud element should be reasonable - but it is the New Forest so I don't advise wearing your stiletos or best suede boots.

Everyone is welcome, please join us, we don't go on a mamouth route march - its just a pleasant stroll.

Lots of laughs and chit chat with a great lunch at the end of it.

Just post on the Forum that you are interested and I will pm you with more details etc.

Looking forward to seeing everyone both old and new faces.

Gilley x

Gilley

thanks for organizing everything once again.

definitely count me in and I look forward to seeing you at 11 at the London Tavern car park (I thought ballet shoes and a tutu but perhaps this is not the most appropriate dress!!!!! and so will follow your instructions!!).

All the best and see you sunday for a good laugh and good food - after we have, of course, been virtuous!!.

Hello, I'm new to the forum and just wondered if you could give me a few more details about the Southampton walking club please? I live in Southampton and am keen to increase my walking habits! Thanks
