How long must I wait?
      #299035 - 06/01/2009 19:32

Can anybody tell me roughly how long after publication of w @ h does it take for subscription copies to reach Europe? My mum changed my Christmas sub to our address here in Latvia starting with the current issue, but so far it hasn't arrived. I know that subscribers in Italy and Germany used to bemoan that their copy hadn't yet arrived when the magazine was in the shops in the UK and the fashion pages or latest 'celeb' were being picked apart on the forum!

I fell and broke my wrist just before Christmas and as it is snowy outside, with more on the way curling up with a cup of coffee and a new magazine to read would be very welcome

Cheers

Hello Fionad

Sorry to hear about your accident. Can't help with your question but just wanted to say hello to someone in Riga - it's a first. My ex's family were from there but we never visited. I imagine it's a bit chilly over there this time of year?

Hope your copy of W&H arrives soon...

Hi fionad and welcome to forum!

I have a friend who comes from Latvia and from what she tells me it sounds wonderful! All those lovely Art Deco buildings in Riga.

Looking forward to reading your posts
Foxie.

p.s. Sorry I can't help about the subscription.

Hi fionad, if its any consolation my copy just came through the door this morning, and I am no further than Scotland, and not remote Scotland either. Hope you don't have to wait much longer

Hi all,

My husband has been working out here for the last year but I only moved out in October once the YS was safely packed off to Uni!

Some of the buildings here are lovely especially with the covering of snow they have at the minute. The forecast for tomorrow is -14 so I won't be venturing out, one broken wrist is enough to contend with

Thanks Anne,

We moved into a newly renovated flat in December and haven't received any post since we moved. I didn't think too much of it at first as nobody knew our address but I am beginning to wonder now!

Hi fionad
Now you have found the forum, you have found a whole lot of new friends whilst you wait for your wrist to heal.

Hi Fionad - I live in southern Spain and I just got my February issue yesterday, I so look forward to receiving W&H every month, it never seems to come round quickly enough for me. Hope you enjoy this issue when it arrives.

Hi Fionad and welcome! Hope your wrist heals soon - good excuse for you to stay on the forum and chat!

Can't help re subscription - but I hope your w&h arrives soon.

Oooh, -14 - that really IS cold. I'm sure it looks beautiful too. 3 years ago we went to Vienna for OH'S 60th and it was -16!! It was -7 when I got into my car at 8 am this morning and that was cold enough! We're not really geared up for cold weather here.

Hi Fionad
We wondered where you had got too, I know last year you were talking about moving abroad, I will let the girls know at the Supper Club, couldnt get there myself tonight due to this awful weather that has invaded us in North East this week.Hope that you will enjoy the W&H when you get it, I know how you must be feeling with a broken wrist, just before christmas 2007 I had a Fractured Scull and Shoulder, but W&H kept me going.Nice to see you posting again.
Happy New Year.

It has snowed heavily here overnight and is still snowing so being tucked up with the forum will make up for no w & h
