I recorded PMK last night but havent looked yet. I am going to keep it to inspire me. Had a good day yesterday, I bought a new book for my food diary and results starting as I mean to go on. I am going to give up my wine and Brandy in the week only indulge on a Sunday when we have wine with Sunday lunch, well I hope I stick to it. Well done to all who stayed the same how did you do that? Welcome back mjm
Well done Thimble and everyone who stayed the same - what was your secret, you must be so proud and pleased with yourselves..
The rest of us piggies - lets concentrate on losing those 3lb's and get back on track and in the pmk zone.
Remember eat slowly and consciously Stop when full Listen to pmk When eating "EAT" do nothing else at the same time - concentrate and listen to your body.
Good Luck everyone and off we go

Hi everyone. Thank you so much for the star mjm I'm thrilled with it,it goes so well with the halo I'm wearing! I think the "secret" of me not gaining weight is that I left the country to avoid Christmas! It didn't seem real and I didn't stock up on what are regarded as an essential part of the festivities in England and I didn't miss them one little bit. I did think I would have still put some weight on though.Looking back on the holiday I think the reason that I didn't is that we didn't have a car for the first 10 days.We had to walk everywhere. Now I realise that increasing my activity levels is essential. As I've said in earlier posts I'm now using a pedometer to give me feedback on how I'm doing. If the reading is low I dance round a bit more to increase the count. It's a bit like carrying a personal trainer round with me. If you have put on weight ,from past experience,I would think you will all get rid of it quickly. It will gone in about a week if you don't let it "settle".Just try and move a lot and stick to the rules. Hi mjm and everyone!
Thank you for my star, too, mjm - I'm going to wear it all the time!
I don't think I have a "secret" as such - I've been at work a lot of the time, with limited eating opportunities! Not putting weight probably due more to stress! I didn't always stick to the rules, but tried not to eat just because it was there (well most of the time). At Xmas lunch i coped with OH's huge portion by giving my son (big lad and always hungry) half my turkey and 2 roast potatoes!
My aim for 2009 is definitely to exercise - I'm amazed that I've lost so much weight without really making any effort to exercise. I really do want to get fit, especially as PatsyW might hold me to that walk up Catbells one day!!!
Girls, be positive and listen to pmk - that weight you put on WILL come off again!
Can I just say again that I've really missed you all and I'm so glad to be back! Will have to get back to work now sharpish!

ChrissiFi, and everyone else who gained - I LOVE YOU - cos now I don't feel so bad, but big congratulations to those of you who stayed the same. I love you too, really.
mjm, WELCOME BACK. Oooh, you have been missed.
AllyL, I agree that the weight will come back off, and dec, I think you are right, we do need to move more so I'm going to spend some time on my Wii Fit this afternoon.
Linby, I missed PMK on TV. You'll have to let us know if it was any good.

Hi mjm lovely to see you back sorry Idid not send you my weigh in yesterday but the puter has been acting up just back onlike now . Well I did not put on any weight over the holidays this had nothing to do with will power I was sick as a dog and could not eat just drank loads , On the cruise I eat only the beautiful food and left out the stodge , over New Year I was not drinking as I was taking medicine and since then I have been poorly (ah poor me) today I can see the light and am feeling a bit better. So to end a long story No Change XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

I didn't put any on because OH has been real poorly since xmas eve. He hardley eat and when he did it was little and often. So most days I sit with my sani with laptop and I am so engrossed in the forum that I only just about remember to eat the sani. Then I look at pedometer and get a shock at how little steps I have done so start doing some twiddling. Seems to be working. Also following PMK and always asking myself when I think of a snack if I am really hungry. By the time I decide I have forgotten about having anything. Also eating better meals, lots of veg.
Wait till I can go out walking more and I am hoping the weight will come off even more. I AM ABSOLUTELY DETERMINED TO LOSE 1.5 STONE AND JUST AS IMPORTANT REACH 10000 STEPS AT LEAST 3 DAYS A WEEK.
There putting it in caps means I am real determined.

This is the first chance Ive had to get back on here since this morning.
Sorry to here that so many of you have been feeling poorly over the last few weeks, I dont know....the lengths some folk will go to, to not put on any weight!!lol, I hope you all get back to good health again as soon as possible.
Ive had a good day food wise, been really busy, that helps.
Im going to invest in a decent step counter, what are you all using?, what do you recommend?

Hello Every one and a big thank you to MJM for my gold star so excited have not had one since I left school!!!!
The only reason I did not put on weight ladies, just to busy entertaining and walking hundreds of miles over the holidays with OH and family (well it seemed like that but it worked) so as Dec says keep moving those bones!!!!
Just come back in from a days shopping at the sales!!!

Just to say Hi to mjm and welcome back. Glad to know you had a wonderful break with Perry.
Good evening everyone else and good luck with PMK. I agree with the comments about not letting the weight settle. It turns to what I call 'steak fat' and seems to take longer to lose. This is not passed on scientific facts, but just my own observations.

Welcome back mjm, and thanks for making us a priority. I have been fine foodwise the last couple of days and have twiddled and twiddled so that will do for exercise. Back to work tomorrow which involves a lot of sitting, but not much opportunity to eat, so with a bit of support on here I am hoping to lose what I gained before the next weigh-in, then its back to watching it go down!

mjm.... I bought an omeron (I think that is the name) as recommended by a couple of girls here. It is really good just wish I could clock some more steps up on it. But I am making progress. When I got it before xmas I could only manage 2-2500 now I can get up to 4500!!! So going in the right direction.
