My OH is very quiet and it takes a lot to get him upset and his steam up and he isn't one to have a stand up row and he doesn't often get angry.
I on the other hand find that sometimes I need to let off steam and when I am pmt just a simple thing like stubbing my big toe can set me off in to a grump.
The other week I was in a bit of a grump for a whole day. It was due finding OH had walked in from the back garden with his mud and smelly fox s*it covered boots still on and over my newly cleaned hall carpet!! *** ***
There was me huffing and puffing for next hour on my knees with gloves on and the disinfectant cleaning the carpet. My sister and family were due and I had no time to use the carpet cleaner on it again and for it to have dried before they were due to arrive in a few hours from then.
OH did say sorry in the end but after the rattle had well and truly been thrown by me.
What makes you see red, huff and puff, and throw out the rattle?

No point me throwing a tantie Deb.......I only have to fix everything when it's over. I prefer the "silent treatment".

All better now with me and the laptop Im pleased to say!

Tiredness, I'm fine and can handle most things until I get tired, then I just loose the plot.

Hi, I agree with dvb! I get really angry - the full-on steam coming out of the ears job - when I am spending precious time cleaning and rest of family make jokes like 'oh, stay clear, mum's at it again' etc. If I ask anyone to help I just cannot seem to do it in a really calm manner then, they all gang up and just make more jokes! Then I end up apoligising!!!
Why is it still accepted in this day and age that no matter what a woman does outside of the home, she is the only one that cleans/cooks/shops/irons need I go on!!!
I try and get them to go out so I can just get on with it, I am far happier doing the cleaning etc with my ipod on and no one else around to hear my terrible singing.
cheers

Splash, I think I do the silent treatment thing because I'm afraid that if I vent - I'll annihilate!!!

Me neither Splash. Oz my OH is good at it and he just walks away if I am in a mood to pick a fight but on this occasion he did go a good way to make things up to me and he did come down from work that evening and give me a hug and said he was truly sorry. He then went and got the tea, Chinese take away.
Folk who turn out to be just plain nasty I also dislike. As for telling lies it all then gets very immature and childish I think.
I held my tongue today while in the post office. A child knocked the cards stand over by accident while the mum was on her mobile phone. The mum was totally without a care for her child or her crying baby in the buggy. The poor kid who knocked over the card stand looked very upset and said sorry but the mum just had a go at her and then promptly went back to her call! She didn't even attempt to reassure or help the poor kid tidy the cards up!:(
Lucky for us all we are able to find friends and decide for ourselves who we feel we can respond to and even meet with, honestly and openly I hope, both on and off these W&H forums.

I'm slightly embarrassed to say that I am a typical Aries and lose my temper very easily about silly things - but I will rant and rave for a minute or two then forget about it; I'm not moody and don't bear a grudge. Over the years I've got better about it, because I never ever lose my cool at work.
But, like Snowy, if I am tired or ill then I get very snappy with those close to me. Who either stay well clear or laugh!

My OH lights the fuse and I goooooooooooooooooo! we are the same star sign and quite alike, we both take umbrage and both are stubborn, I want to make things right sooner than him, he can carry on being funny the next day this makes me even crosser, I want to cuddle and forget it he can't because apparently he's always right!

Work discussions with Mr Chilla. Other than that it's like Ice Station Zebra when I'm in a bad mood. Which is only ever Mr Chilla's fault.

I do the silent thing to gold standard too but it's a learnt thing - rows lead to violence in my past so it was simpler to hold your peace and I've never broken the habit. Wish I could say my piece but Mr A always does the smacked puppy thing and how can you have a good arguement then?

Good morning ladies and to start with a mini moan Why when a web site says Free images does it then at a later date remove it as they have done here and not allow one to use the image? Moan moan moan Thats better having had my moan for today
Off to find, and bookmark this time, a truely free images site as you know I often like to put pictures on with my posts
Then it is up to my local big high street to pay for and collect my new bay window curtains, from the Sales of course The old ones have been up so long they have discoloured and faded on all four edges

I'm with you OzzieKez - much prefer the silent treatment as it gets me nowhere when I rant but then it does get all kept inside I suppose!

I get a bit grumpy when I am tired. Instead of just giving in and having a rest, I turn into a bit of a martyr!!
OMG - I can't believe I am admitting this on the forum. I will be Foxie no-mates on the forum!!!!

thats me to a T Rungirl, and I'm Aries too. Think I'm getting better with age at not losing my temper apart from indian bloody call centres!!! and young children in restaurants after 8pm and men who think they can drive better than women and screaming kids in supermarkets and think I had better climb off my soap box now.
