Save the pomp, ceremony and the money it will cost to put the whole thing on and forget this stupid idea.
How on earth can one such as Mr Blair get a medal for such a thing when you see the state of the world and that the wars are still going on with the USA and our troops still out there and many being killed!!!

I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of you lot, this is what happens in life, people get recognised for all sorts of things and reasons.
We have to move on in life and accept that neither you or me will get any medals for any reason.
Oh and before you want to hang me, I cant stand Bush or Blair and dont think we should be involved in this war,something my sister and I come to blows over quite alot.

I do hope that the families of those killed in Iraq and Afghanistan will mount some sort of protest about this.

I also have Iraqi friends whose lives have been totally devastated.
