Check out the listings at the top of the board as many are listed there. Also there was a previous thread about this a few months ago which you may well find if you go back a bit.

Hi I'm new to the forum - havn't posted 'till now - but I've been hoping the Birmingham Supper Club was about to take off. Several people seem interested but I can't find any info about a meet-up. What's happening? Would like to meet up in the Birmingham/Solihull area.

Hi everyone! Isn't it exciting:we might just get a Birmingham/Solihull Supper Club up and running!

I've been looking at the Supper Club Message Board and it seems other clubs meet on various nights of the week or even for lunch on Saturdays. Can I suggest a Friday night meet? Everyone's relaxed and looking forward to the week-end and you can have a glass or two of wine without worrying about work next day. How about Friday 30th Jan - that should give us time to get organised, book a restaurant etc.

As for where......well I don't really know what to suggest. Perhaps somewhere reasonably cheap and cheerful for a first meet. On a dark, dank January evening I would prefer to meet in a bright easily accesssible place e.g. the Bullring or somewhere with a nice big car park. I know Harborne was suggested earlier but personally I find the car park behind the High Street a bit intimidating in the dark! When the nights are a bit brighter I'll be much more adventurous in parking on side streets or car parks.

Anyway what does everyone else think? Do hope we manage to start this Supper Club. When we meet up I'm sure we'll all have lots of ideas for future meets.

Look forward to reading what you all think.

Maybee hi Friday 30th is ok with me ....not sure of any cheap and cheerful place in the Bullring area....but if you suggest I will find. Time..are we talking straight after work eg 4-5pm or meet after 7pm
Harborne parking will not be that bad if you park on the High Street......let me know
I'm easy.

Hi shoesandboots

After 7 o'clock would be more flexible don't you think for most people?

Haven't had any brilliant ideas about where yet - hoping someone else comes up with a suggestion! Had no idea you were able to park on Harborne High Street in the evening.

Was a bit worried after I'd sent previous post. I was looking at the post by Mary31 and wondered if a supper club had already started. Do you know what's going on there? We don't want to start up 2 clubs (!) and a couple of people did seem keen. I couldn't find any info about a meet up though.

Hi Maybee , 30th sounds great. Not sure about Bullring . I suggested to shoesandboots either Cafe rouge which I know is in Harborne but you can park in the pay and display at the Green Man pub , or maybe somewhere in Mail box . After work would be best for me ( after 5.30 ) . Lets get this organised as soon as poss. Looking forward to hearing off you .

Hi there,

I would possibly be interested in attending a supper club in Birmingham/Solihull area. I do not know Harbourne very well but I would be interested in attending a supper club in Solihull or central Birmingham.I will watch future posts carefully for further info.
