DAY 275 : TRYING TO GET BACK TO NORMAL!
      #291302 - 30/12/2008 11:45

Well, Christmas is over and New Year still to come and, although I haven't eaten much in the way of quantity, I have been eating a lot of the foods that I wouldn't normally have. These foods have all been starchier, bulkier and richer than I would normally eat and have left me feeling rather sluggish - and quite unsatisfied, even though I enjoyed them all at the time of eating. I find that when I eat more fresh fruit and veg, fish, etc. etc. I feel so very much better - so, I am trying to get myself back to normal, back on track (not that I have veered too far off track)and looking forward to a healthier and happier 2009.

How is everyone else doing today?

Good Morning Alex and Blossom

After my angst of yesterday I can heartily recomend the homemade thick vegetable soup.

I found it very comforting and satisfying, I slept well for the first time in ages and I even feel perky this morning (managed half an hour with Davina).

I think a lack of whole, fresh and healthy food gets you down after a while...

Well it worked for me (LOL)

Hope everyone has a good day

xx

Afternoon all. I've fallen off the wagon big time, and I'm munching my way through some Pringles as I type! Blame OH, he bought them and left them out on the worktop. Grrrr!!

Alex, I really agree about the fruit and vegetable thing. I feel so much better when I increase my intake, and I'm glad the soup worked for you, gilley.

Blossom, once I get past Hogmanay I'm going to be very very good, but in the meantime, I may well get blossomed tomorrow night.

So girls, I probably won't get back to normal until January 2nd. Still that gives me three days until weigh in, and I can't have put on more than a stone, surely .

I'm gradually getting back to normal, though there are still some mince pies around (home-made ones, with good ingredients, so not wholly bad!) I am having a glass of wine now, though (my second) and am munching on some Fudges cheese biscuits - yummy! I have a box of chocolates unopened and another barely touched, so am feeling quite virtuous. I've discovered that the key is to be given dark chocolate as you can't eat so much of it!

Perhaps we could start bidding - I'm guessing I will have gained 4 lb...any advance?

Well as we speak, PMK is winging his way through the miles and will shortly be dropping through my letterbox.
