It's cold here, but lovely and sunny - just the day for wrapping up warm and taking a brisk walk!
Hope you're all still enjoying the holidays - and remembering the rules
Eat when hungry Eat what you like Eat slowly
and the hard part....
Stop when you've had enough!

Hi Chickee Good afternoon to you and to anyone lurking on this post!
Mr F and I made the most of the weather by going to JL Bluewater. I wanted some new curtains and had chosen the fabric a couple of months ago. Mr F. was convinced it would be in JL's sale so off we trotted today and yes, the doors of JL did open at 8.00 am !!! We were first in the queue for curtains, but unfortunately the fabric we chose was not in the sale!!
Still, I'm sure it was good exercise up and down the malls of Bluewater! We left at about 1.00 pm and by that time it was heaving with people. Glad to get home! I would have loved to have been walking with you enjoying the views of south Wales. The view of the chalk pits of Bluewater are not the same!
Hope you had a wonderful walk. Foxie x.

Another day draws to a close, and tomorrow it will be time to throw out the leftovers, and start healthy eating, well thats my plan, anyway.

Chickadee - that's the bit I'm struggling with: stop when you've had enough!!
Why is it that at Christmas time we think that no meal is complete without a tin of Quality Street?
Foxie, what a shame about the fabric. You're a braver woman than me tackling the sales.
SL, WELCOME BACK!
BQ, good luck with the healthy eating. I'm a bit concerned about the healthy drinking .
I'm very late on tonight as I've been on my Wii fit. Apparently I have excellent posture, but the body of a 65 year old. Any more comments like that and I'll be taking it's batteries out! Anyway, my thighs are hurting so it must be doing me some good.

Sella, you are very good for my health - you make me laugh!
Quote:
"Laughter activates the chemistry of the will to live and increases our capacity to fight disease. Laughing relaxes the body and reduces problems associated with high blood pressure, strokes, arthritis, and ulcers. Some research suggests that laughter may also reduce the risk of heart disease. Historically, research has shown that distressing emotions (depression, anger, anxiety, and stress) are all related to heart disease. A study done at the University of Maryland Medical Center suggests that a good sense of humor and the ability to laugh at stressful situations helps mitigate the damaging physical effects of distressing emotions.
A good hearty laugh can help:
* reduce stress * lower blood pressure * elevate mood * boost immune system * improve brain functioning * protect the heart * connect you to others * foster instant relaxation * make you feel good.
