Anyone else twiddling?
      #287931 - 24/12/2008 12:03

As soon as I finish my coffee I need to:

Clean downstairs loo
Clean utility area, put glass bottles outside
Tidy kitchen - DH deep cleaning later
Lay table in dining room
Make up guest room
Clean family bathroom for guests
Clean shower room
Make up our bed

Have a Baileys with lots of ice!

Don't let me twiddle on my own, someone twiddle with me

I have to lay table and clean silver (which should have been done last week I think - was there a twiddle I missed?).

Pop out this afternoon for pressie for YD - she seems to have a very small stocking poor thing. Last year I bought her very pretty toilet paper. That filled up her stocking!

Awww Lisianthus, I'm so sorry. Take a break, we'll be cleaning up after Christmas, you can catch up then.

For now, just hoover the middle of the room and make sure the kitchen and bathrooms are ok.

Hugs!

Lisianthus,
Just do what has to be done!
Priorities are:
Food
Bathroom clean
You in a relaxed state, in order to enjoy tomorow!

If you haven't the energy to dust, just spray furniture polish in the air...everyone will think you've been cleaning for ages.

I had a friend who used to go to absurd lengths to be perfect...even draping the whole staircase with greenery and ribbons...she used to be up until about 2am getting it all done and was in a foul mood for days before and her husband said to me that he hated the Christmas! So, isn't it better to be relaxed and make the atmosphere happy?

Thank you, Mrs Twiddle. Will do - difficult to keep on top of things when ill, as I have 4 little dogs.

Any advise on speedy floor washing please? I just don't have an energy at the moment.

Thank you, Kate1. I am so frustrated as I am usually clean and organised, but have been ill since last Thursday, and so ill Monday and yesterday and still very unwell.

There are STILL presents to wrap too!

My throat and chest feel raw and I just can't cope at the moment.

Cloakroom and bathroom cleaned this morning, also kitchen floor swept, one load of washing done, been out for OH medicines. Custard put on trifle, just about to put topping on. Hoovered all downstairs and generally put things away.

Now I can relax till Saturday. I NEVER TWIDDLE FOR 2 DAYS over xmas, just sit, eat, drink, relax and do whatever I want to do.
Lisianthus............you poor thing. I feel for you as I have had it as well. Thankfully now over it after 3 weeks but OH went down with it today. Hope you soon feel better.
Leave housework health is more important and you need to keep your strength up to fight it. If it bothers anyone else just point them in the direction of the hoover, duster and floor mop!!!!

Will be twiddling loads in new year.
