Lobster
      #280303 - 15/12/2008 14:46

Hi,

Do anyone have a nice and easy lobster recipe to share?

My middle sis is coming to stay over christmas, and arrives the evening before Christmas eve.
Christmas eve is the big day here in sweden, so we will have the traditional food then
And on christmas day, a few more family members will turn up and goose and trifle is on the menue

But that first evening, we will just relax, and enjoy the christmas decorations and music, so I thought : CHAMPAGNE!
and then I saw that a local shop had frozen lobster on special, so I thought why not?
Only Iīve searched the net on and off since saturday for recipes, and canīt find anything I really fancy.
Afters are saffron parfait and exotic fruits in sweet wine.Easy since it can be made in advance.

Anyone got any ideas for frozen (thawed) lobster??

They are on offer over here too....at Aldis of all places !and maybe elsewhere. I haven't bought one as I haven't a clue what to do with it so any ideas would be great? Has anyone had one of these frozen Canadian Lobsters? Are they good?

Hi maja and mayday

i bought frozen lobster from icelands, and it came with a garlic and herb crumb topping, I'm no cook, but i reckon this could be easily made, They have used garlic, butter, herbs, and breadcrumbs all mixed to together to form a crumble and spread over the lobster.
This may help give you some ideas.
Brandyqueen x

I have never used frozen lobster. Here lot of advises about it. Though seems quite good as appetizer with not so much work to be done around.

I feel it's simply cruelty to cook lobster alive.

Frozen lobsters help my good conscience, however I never buy them since years.
