Does anyone have a recipe for a Yule Chocolate Log ?
      #279485 - 14/12/2008 18:55

Does anyone have a recipe for a Yule Chocolate log that is not to squidgy?!! Most of the recipes I have found so far have a lot of squidgy chocolate mousse in them, so I would be very grateful if anyone could help.

Thanks,

SarahMaryBear x

Hi SarahMary Bear, how are you Summer?

I havent a recipe, but I think Delia Smith has one in her cookbook, I seem to remember seeing it in her Christmas Book.

Failing that, why dont you buy one, Marks do some lovely fresh cream ones save you a lot bother.

Could you buy an M&S one and take it out of the box, put it on a pretty plate and sprinkle some icing sugar over it?

Whilst this one doesn't have a butter cream icing it does have chocolate mousse and cream in the centre, so just dust with icing sugar and stick a bit of holly on the top!!! This is really delicious and looks impressive....

Enjoy!
