      #279466 - 14/12/2008 18:34

Is anyone else confused about which moisturiser, serum, under eye cream to wear? I used to use Clarins, then changed to M&S, thereare so many different adverts and recommendations in mags. Any help available from forum members?

Think it just comes down to what suits your skin in the end doesnt it?

what type of skin do you have and what budget?

i have dry skin so tend to use hydrating products but it has been, and still is, trial and error to a point.

you could speak to a department store but they will be biased of course. No 7 and Olay get good reviews, I like Nivia Visage Hydrating gel.

I find too that my skin needs different products at different times of the year, or i'll trial one if it's on offer. I'm not particularly loyal to just one product, guess i'm still looking for the perfect one.

P&P serum and moisturiser. Not at all loyal and willing to try anything else if the price is right!

Was put off eye cream by a Virgin Vie consultant who said it caused eye bags - plastic surgeons removing eye bags found them full of eye cream. Yuk, yuk, yuk!

Heard that the stuff they sell in Aldi is very good and very cheap.

There was a sample of the Olay Regenerist face mask given free with Essentials this month - it's absolutely lovely. My skin was smooth and nourished for days afterwards. Do try it.

I have been using Clinique for many years. Sometimes I would stray to Lancome.
A few months ago I saw something in a magazine that made me think.

A number of people tested a moisture cream - one for day and one for night. The one that came out on top was one from Aldi - vast expense of £1.89

I read another article last week where a group of people again had tested various foundations, powder and blusher.
Once again the ones from Aldi came out best. These were compared to items from Clinique, Lancome, Boots and Revlon.

The moisture cream was great. Would not want to change it now.
Bought the make up today so I will be testing it over the holidays.

At these prices you cant go wrong can you.

Happy Xmas
