Body slimming underwear - do they work?
      #271682 - 05/12/2008 15:46

I tried on some long-line, pull-you-in underwear in Marks yesterday. It certainly did the job, but came to just under my bra. I didn't buy it as I worry that it might roll down leaving fat bulging out from my dress. I then noticed Trinny and Susannah's suck-in underwear comes to the same level - does it work or does it roll down when you move. The sales lady told me to try a larger size!
I've bought a beautiful woollen dress, but can only wear it if all fat is contained.
Has anyone tried these?

I have read your blog and you are not fat!!....9stone?....same as me... how tall are you?
Have never liked to feel constricted in pull in underwear myself rather pull my tum in!
Good Luck with it....many ladies on here will give you chapter and verse on these things!
Magic knickers are a regular topic for discussion....love your blog!

Hi Yvonne, I have tried these contraptions and they give me terrible tummyache so my muffin has to sit there on display I'm afraid! They do work though, my Mum had one for my son's wedding and they keep it all in don't worry!

Fat or no fat if you squish yourself into something tight the flesh has to go somewhere either up under your ampits or a little undulating apron down below! lovely lovely lovely!

I reckon they work. Squishy bits get pushed in and you have a smoother firmer silhouette.Your clothes just look better on you .
No rolls of belly fat visible anymore.
Deffo worth it .
My friend swears by the one that has a built in bra from M&S
so THAT wont roll down!

Yes they work but get Spanx they are BRILLIANT. They dont give you wind and they are not uncomfortable. Get them from John Lewis (try them on first as you cant return them). The M&S ones might be cheaper but they are inferior.
