We haven't had a new title for a while ....

We're not doing very well with this lately, are we?!

It must be time for a new first line, so how about:

If she'd left home five minutes later, it wouldn't have happened.

If she'd left home five minutes later, it wouldn't have happened. She wouldn't have seen them going past in the car. Although she'd suspected her best friend was having an affair this was a complete shock. How could she?

They had been friends since school, always confided in each other but obviously not about this. Well no more. She felt totally betrayed. Then her mobile rang and it was him. She realised then that they had not seen her and he was ringing 'from the office' to say he was working late.

She had just lost her best friend and her dad.

If she'd left home five minutes later, it wouldn't have happened. She would have heard the phone ring. She would have answered it. The voice on the other end would have told her that she had been picked at random to answer three questions for a £10,000 prize. Mystic radio got no reply. They rang someone else.

Meanwhile she drove to town, listening to the radio. Question one, "easy" she thought. Question two, "I can answer that", she said. Question three, "oh, what I could do with £10,000, I would have won that", she said to herself as she parked her car. She then went into the bank to beg for a loan.

Loved that, issi. Fate can be so cruel!

Ginnie, I thought it would be her husband.

Well done Brenda for starting us off again.

If she had left home 5 minutes later, it would'nt have happened, because she would have missed it, and would'nt now be sitting here fuming...strumming her fingers on the steering wheel, wondering what to do next, do i carry on or do i return home? Oh well what's done is done, whatever happens now i will be late, miss the opening, does it matter, well yes to me it does, but will it matter tomorrow, no, with that thought in mind my journey continues, but i am still miffed with myself..... if only i had'nt rushed out of the door, had taken my time to make sure i had everything, then i woul'nt have left my mobile phone behind.
