book group in birmingham
      #200760 - 22/09/2008 10:14

Starting a book group in Moseley, Birmingham. Our first meeting will be on Monday 29th September at 7.15 in the Duke of York pub, Moseley (weatherspoon's pub near the traffic lights in Mosleey village). We'll have a copy of pride and prejudice on the table. Everyone welcome.

Jane

Thanks to everyone who turned up last night. We had 14 members with two joining through reading this forum. The evening went well and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Our first book is 'Rebecca'. Looking forward to reading the book and meeting everyone at the next get together.

Jane

Just signed up as a member and saw your message. Are you still meeting? Do you need any more members? I'm a keen reader and would like to join a group. Look forward to hearing from you.

Myself and a good friend are avid readers and belonged to a local book club in Sutton Coldfield for a few years which has now been disbanded. Are you still running the book club in Moseley? If so can you let me have the details please.

Suzy-mike..did you get any response to the Harborne / Birmingham book club post? I'm sure there must be some other rreaders out there who would join us for a good book chat.

Hi, this is quite an old thread. Look for the more recent postings under South Birmingham Book Club.
A Book Club organised by mazdagirl is about to get off the ground in the Harborne area.
