Walking Club Forum

Hiya - loving walking with my new friends in South Yorkshire. Just a suggestion - now that the forum has got quite big, could there be an interactive map of the UK to show where the groups are? This could link then to the relevant threads. Ideally a new user could put in their location and then be directed to their nearest group. Thank you techies!

Penny x

I agree that something like this would be useful. I found a post for my area, on page 3, but the person who started it wrote in February and doesn't appear to have returned. I guess they gave up when they didn't get an early reply. Was there much point in my responding? I have managed to find somebody to meet up with but it would be helpful to have something a little clearer for new members.

I agree it takes ages to scroll through 6 0r 7 pages of messages. I've given up several times. Who do we have to ask...spose the people who put together this site????

If you have a look on the Supper Club posts, you'll see that I've just compiled a list of Supper/Lunch/Coffee clubs. W&H agreed that if I prepared this, they would give it a prominent position on the forum.

Perhaps you would like to do something like that?

Hi,
We are working on a new way of organising the Walking Clubs. I agree that they are quite difficult to navigate. Hopefully they will be live on the site in the not too distant future.

Watch this space...

Until that happens, people could try using the "search" facility at the very bottom of the page. although sometimes it won't let me do more than a couple of searches before it tells me to go away and come back later .
