Subscription On-Line
      #69225 - 05/03/2008 16:21

I've just subscribed on-line, and the thought occured to me that there was no mention of a gift i.e if I'd done it on the phone, I would have got the Roger & Gallet body care set per the March edition.

Can you please clarify the position re gift sets for on-line subscribers??

Same for me to MariaE.

I like my freebies and hope we don't miss out here by placing an order online! I did mine via Tesco's so it may be a bit different I guess.

Please could the W&H team confirm MariaE's question and mine about online subscribers?

From dbverycherry :confused

I also joined on line around 21 feb, but if you read the fine print in the magazine, it is for the first 1000 readers/subscriptors, they wont tell you, if you are in that category. I never heard from them about it at all also, but my first magazine will not be here until the May issue, which I think they send out in April!

Totally confused, I think W&H over commit and under deliver from what I have heard to date on here

They might surprise me and you and send our free gift!!!

Well, if you're right about overcommittment and under-delivery, they won't get much repeat custom will they??
Plus having our moans about it on the forum will also put people off subscribing.

It's all very disappointing and so TOTALLY needless.

Hi,
I have asked our Subscriptions Manager to answer your question. Here is her response:

I'm the Subscriptions Manager for woman&home and just thought I would clarify some of the issues raised in this forum. If you are responding to an offer you have seen in the magazine and have followed the link on the advert - you will of course get the same offer, gift included. So if you have used the web url on the Roger and Gallet advert you will definitely be receiving this gift. It should have stated this on the page you clicked through to.

However, our gift stocks are limited and we do mention how many gifts are available. If you are not within the first 600 we always endeavour to send you a gift of similar value. It's not ideal I know, but as we work with great brands like Roger&Gallet, Elemis and Elizabeth Arden they are unable to provide us with endless quantities of products, so we have to put caps in place.

However, if you are subscribing online through the woman&home website or somewhere like Tesco, these are completely separate offers and you will be signing up to the offers advertised (e.g. half price of 2 years for the price of 1 etc). These often don't include gifts but there will usually be a bigger discount to make up for this.

I hope this answers some of your questions, but please let me know if you have any other concerns. I really value your feedback.

Thank you Pippa for taking the time and trouble to get answers for our questions here. It answers mine and I hope it covers other concerns. it is good to know you read and are there to answer our questions regarding the W&H Magazine

I got a good value deal using Tesco card vouchers just over £9 for a years subscription so I guess I won't be getting any of the freebies you and others have mentioned
