      #504622 - 10/11/2009 15:04

I'm going to New Jersey in early December to visit my brother and sister-in-law. now its certain that I will hit new york for retail therapy, suggestions anyone?
Have you been, what were your highlights,(or lows) got any recommendations? What did you buy there that you were delighted with?

My bro in law and sis inlaw are in Queens. Sketchers shop is a must, 42nd street/Broadway. I love it.

Lucky you - We loved Central Park. The get-on, get-off bus tour was a really good way to see round the city Try to get to a show if you can - some good bargains can be picked up at the booths. I'm not really a shopper but enjoyed Macy's. Hope you have a wonderful time.

We were in New York in June, just loved it, if you fancy a show on Broadway I can definately reccomend 'The Jersey Boys' a great show about The Four Seasons and Frankie Valley.

Hi I went in May and November last year for 7 nights each time with my daughter who 'loves to shop'.There is a great day out for shopping at Woodbury Common Retail . Go to the main bus station , the buses go direct I think something like 2 an hour all day.Its a great journey through the countryside ,we went on an early bus I think the shops open at 9.30. We bought another suitcase each while we were there to carry all our purchases . But when you have had enough head for the bus queue as you may wait ages to get back the traffic at night is a nightmare The shops are amazing in New York,Century 21 is a bit like TKMax almost a jumble sale but real bargains if you have the drive to search for stuff. Its located by Ground Zero.We have just booked 2 weeks there in spring next year while BA have a great sale on flights.Put Woodbury into Google as you can see all the special offers at the time you are going. Enjoy x
