Blooming rained on his parade
      #503018 - 08/11/2009 11:18

My lovely son is in the air cadets and this morning he was taking part in a rememberance day parade at the squadrons local church.

Just as they arrived at the muster point the heavens opened and for 20 mins it poured not a coat between them poor soles, except that is my son.

He has a cold allergy if he gets too cold he can pass out,so he was allowed to wear his jacket until they actually set of but i still worry.

As I watched them all march away heads held high and soaked to the skin I felt so very proud of all of them. They are all teens and very dedicated. It is very warming to see them all.

Aah bless them. Typical, you can never rely on the damn weather. But, all of them suffering the rain for a really good cause. Bet you were so proud though whatever the weather.

There are some really nice teens out there I think. We just dont hear of them as often as some of those little horrors in the newspapers.

Well done to your Son. Hope he didn't get too cold.

Eliza,

I bet you were so proud of him, and all his friends.

Whilst out this morning, we came across The British Legion, doing their march into the city centre, and there, holding their young heads, high, were members of the Scouts, Boys Brigade, Guides, and Brownies, bless them, I must admit I felt such a tinge of pride, I really did.
