Hi Girls this photo was taken of my daughter & her friends in a play at Uni a couple of years ago...the play was based on wartime Britain...The play was called ''Girlfriends'' dont you just love the style back then? Didnt women look so glam & feminine in their tea dresses, red lips & dolly shoes back in those days? I love this photo,I hope you like it too!

Oh, that is gorgeous Cathy!!! I can see the family likeness too!
I love the style of the dresses from the 40's! Not so sure I would have liked to have been a woman then though. Today's lifestyle wearing 40's clothes....yep, that sounds OK!!!

They look really good...think women looked more femine then. Still red lips and Sarah Jane shoes are all back in ..not so sure about the hairstyles.
Of course the lifestyle then is not for me or most of us...and no internet either...ooohhhh

What a lovely photo!! They all look so glamorous, and women were women shaped!! Not like today when you are oversized anything over size 14. I used to love wearing long dresses and wearing my hair up back in the 70's. Aaaaah happy memories!

Cathy she is beautiful, you must be very proud. I am glad you have a lovely day, it is raining cold and very grey here, splash in a few for me!! My OH has just left for the airport on a business trip , so a lonely day here for me but I will use the time to catch up on writing my reports. Have a lovely sunday. Misser

Cathy she is lovely. I am sure she is having a wonderful time in New Zealand.
We met a couple from NZ on a cruise many years ago. We have been emailing 2/3 times a week every since.
One day I shall make it over there.

Fab photo Cathy - fashion was lovely then - bit before my time of course!
I too wear dolly style shoes - just my style.
Your daughter is just like you - you should be very proud and hope she is having a great time in NZ.

Hello CC .... I have no idea which one is your D but they all look lovely and very happy ... must have been a super play.
I love vintage and buy 40's gear on line....love the fur collars they all wore too, but of course not popular now so dont have any.
Garbo eye brows and red lips ... yummy
Hated 'spats' on men though...... hah hah
