Do you believe the weather forecasts?
      #502927 - 07/11/2009 22:52

I have been to see my son at uni today, I watched the weather forecast on BBC1 at 6.00am this morning and they said that the forecast was for squally showers, with gusty winds. Well I took appropriate clothing, only to be sweating in nice warm sunshine, not a cloud in the sky and therefore nicely overheated in a very warm woolley cardigan, boots and carrying an umbrella. Do you take any notice, or just look out of the window and take it from there?

The forecast on BBC Scotland is usually pretty good but we ignore the main one on BBC

Purely as a guide Caz purely as a guide.....
With all the technology they have they still unable to get it 100%....
I have my own tropical heating system at the moment so I tend to dress in layers and that seems to cover most eventualities....

Not very often as we seem to change area every day. We are actually in Yorkshire but our weather often corresponds to Scotland, West Coast, Kent anywhere but Sheffield. It is nice moving so regularly with none of the fuss and upheaval though.lol

Can anyone remember the one with Michael Fish.

If I remember rightly didn't he say there would be no rain, and we had floods.

Still watch the forecast though - just as a guide.

Well Caz - our forecast was for dry and sunny, bit cloudy............just had heavy rain, sky black and very dismal.

Pot luck now I think! But for November, this is what we should expect!

Yes I too remember the classic Michael Fish error Scarlets - he will never live that down!
