Walking clubs/Supper clubs/ New Friends
      #502869 - 07/11/2009 21:14

I am 35 and at what seems to be the age of being married and having children, I have done neither and am not even contemplating it!! What has happened though is I have kind of been left out on my own as all friends have done both of the above, and can not or are not interested in any kind of socialisation!!

I am looking for new friends around the West Lothian/Edinburgh area, who are interested in walking/ a little exercising/ going out for food/drinks and just generally having a little fun.

If anyone is interested please get in touch, I can not be the only lonely person sitting in on their own on a Saturday night!!

Wendy

I love Edinburgh wendy. It's been a long long time since I visited. I think it was my daughter's 8th birthday (she's 15 now) and we went to the zoo!! Thanks for your kind invite. I'll let you know if I'm ever up again.

Best Wishes,
Ellikat X

Hi Wendy

I am new to this website, just signed up this afternoon, after viewing the supper forum postings and thinking what a brilliant idea! I, too, would love to make some new friends in my area! Unfortunately I am in London, but hey would be glad to be a penpal - now there's a phrase that gives my age away - or is it email-pal??

I am 46, married but no children, and as I work from home a lot of the time I am on the brink of doing a Shirley Valentine - it is so not the same sitting in Starbucks on your own - you just talk to the mug rather than the wall!! Only kidding haven't got that bad yet!

So, Wendy the best of luck and thanks for inspiring me to make the same request to anyone in NW London/Middx borders!

Best wishes,
Bee

Wendy,

I am also fairly new to the forums. I went along to one of the supper club outings and had a very enjoyable evening.

I too am hoping to meet some new friends and would be happy to meet, so please count me in if you are considering organising something.

Regards,
Yvonne

Hi Wendy I am also in a similar position but unfortunately live near Chester, but hey what a could suggestion to W & H to create a forum for women who unfortunately or fortunately don't have children and are a bit left out and lonely .... My husband also works away for 6 weeks at a time so I would love to meet more people similar to myself...

Regards

Hello, I've just signed up today. I'm in the Northamptonshire/Warwickshire area looking to find people to walk with, go to the cinema, or generally meet up. I'm an active 57 year old (don't know how I got to that age!), married, children long left home but have an 18 year old granddaughter living with us which can be stressful. Husband works long hours so sometimes feel lonely even though I work full time myself but in a very small organisation.
