Good Evening Ladies,
Hope you will forgive me, but I am in reflective mood tonight.
I think we all like to be popular, dont you?
We like to be liked, if not by everyone, certainly by a few trusted friends, and our families.
It must be awful, never to have a friend, or family, or just someone you can lift up a phone to, and have a natter.
The person who says they couldnt care less, whether anyone cares for them, I fear is not telling the truth, I know I would hate not to have anyone, who cared for me, and would hate not to have people in my life that I care about.
I am just thinking about my life before I joined this forum, I had family, and certainly some friends, who lived around the globe, and a distance away, but now I have friends, I can chat to on the phone, and know they are always there, and do you know something, that really makes me happy.

That is lovely Plasmo. Yes you are right it is nice to be able to do this. Up till I joined the forum I had one friend that I use to be able to do this with but she has decided that emails are better as she is out and about a lot.
Unfortunately because of my hearing difficulties I find phones very hard to deal with so I never make or have phone calls and feel that I am really missing out.

Hi Plazzie It's nice to look back and see how life has changed. I am really pleased to have joined the forum. I love chatting to everyone regularly and also meeting some of you at lunch and supper clubs. I truly feel you have all enriched my life.
Hi Thimble Nice to see you posting again. I think I got a glimpse of a butterfly's wing.....
Take care Foxie x.

Hi Thimble and Foxy,
Thimble have you thought of having Skype put on your laptop? it is really easy to set up, it might just make a difference for you. I know you have difficulty with your hearing, but if you have an inbuilt microphone, you could alter the volume.
Foxie, your little fox always makes me smile.

I couldn't imagine my life without friends. I have friends going back 35 years that have always been there for me and then new friends I have met along the way. I have a very good friend who e-mails me every day. When good things happen they are happy for me and when sad things happen the way they rally round is just amazing. I feel very blessed to have a really good circle of friends. I also love the friendship on the forum and have been chatting to so many lovely ladies since I joined in Jan.

Hi PLasmo,I agree thank goodness for this forum and the kindness and support many of us have had when going through difficulties in our lives.
Thimble I do understand your difficulties re hearing as My Yd wears aids and has done from a Young child.

Hello everyone....I live a long way from home (Saudi Arabia because of my husbands work), I have a great life, but I always miss being home in the UK(I get home once a year every summer) I only joined the forum a few weeks ago, and it has been so wonderful to chat to you all and hear what you are up to. When I read posts about someone having a lovely drive and seeing the trees changing to their autumn colours, or hearing about supper clubs in places I know, it brings home a little bit closer. Even hearing about what you are doing at home...because its raining...again !!.....dear old England, it never changes. You all make me feel I am not so very far away..and that really gives me a lot of comfort. Row

I love this forum, chatting to people has been great. I am quite shy so don't post very much just answer others. It is quite addictive and I do try to get on every day. The forum has changed my life since I have been on it. I have been to a Book Club and am looking forward to going to my first supper club.
Thanks again ladies.

It is good in so many ways - support, laughter, female company really when I only see men or children all day. I hope things go well for you Biker-babe. Big Hug!
