Hello from a Newbie
      #502445 - 07/11/2009 00:34

Hi there everyone.

Just registered and thought I'd introduce myself (this is compulsory on other forums I use, so thought I'd play it safe on here - don't want to get into trouble on my first day!!) But if it's not necessary, or in the wrong place, I apologise in advance.

I'm Leah, a 42 SAHM of 2 - a DS of 16 and a DD of 5. I keep myself busy with my new love of patchwork & quilting. Other interests are swimming, reading and of course spending time with my family.

I'm looking forward to "meeting" a whole new set of friends.

Hi Sewtobed

Welcome to the forum. I'm an almost newbie - three weeks now, but I've been made so welcome I feel I've been here forever.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Rosa x

I'm new and I feel a bit unsure of myself.I'm not English.I'm from Germany but as I really love England I thought I give it a try.My husband and I have spent all summer holidays (being a teacher that means 5 weeks) in GB for the last 30 years. And I'd love to find some nice English friends on the forum.

Hi there,
I have just joined the forum today and this is my first attempt at anything of this type. Your message caught my eye as you are from Germany and my youngest daughter who is currently working for 12 months in Ireland has made friends with a nice boy from Dormund (she will not admit he is a boyfriend). I too am hoping to make some friends by joining the forum
Maggie

Hi Maggie,
I just can't believe how quickly you get to chat to people.Nice to hear fron another newbie. It's quite exciting isn't it?
I hope your daughter enjoys her time in Ireland and the German lad,of course.I don't have any children, just a husband (for 37 years) but being a teacher I like children, especially the moody teenagers. They< are soo funny.
Enjoy your Sunday! We do,weather is cold but sunny and a blue sky.
Julietta
