getting ready?
      #501490 - 05/11/2009 16:55

Hi girls,
do you find it takes longer and longer getting ready for a night out?
If I want to look half way decent I start mid-afternoon with a facial scrub and a mask; while the mask is on I do my nails (not terribly well). A trim of the eyebrows, a shave here and there and finally shower . Then hair to dry, moisturiser to apply, dress to choose, accessories....... and so on.
I remember getting ready as a young woman in minutes and looking fab; now, after all that, on my way out I look at myself in the hall mirror and I think 'who's that?'
Anyone else feels the same?

When i was a teenager it used to take me 2 hours to get ready....can't believe that now!

Now it takes about 40 mins.

Even if I did spend that long italian06, I don't think it would help. Like Kate I've reduced from 2 hours, but unlike Kate I'm done in 20 minutes.

I have to do my hair first thing in the morning, as that takes for ever, but once that's out of the way I'm pretty quick

italian06, having met you I can say that you look extremely stylish and attractive so all the hard work is paying off! Nice to see you posting here

40 mins normally, thats shower, dry hair, makeup and dressed.

Longer if I don't know what to wear. Long gone are the days when I used to spend hours. Thinking about it it should have been the other way round. Shame as now I think who is going to be bothered to look!

Like Scottish mags it is always hair that takes the longest.

Make up varies between 2 mins and 40 mins dependant if I am looking tramp or vamp ... l o l
