Beautiful pink roses
      #500787 - 04/11/2009 19:55

Today I bought myself pink roses. I thought I would treat myself and I am glad I have! They are beautiful and brighten up the room. Anyone else been treating themselves? Lets face it, if no-one is doing it for us why not look after ourselves!

Yes sheeco, I confess. Mr K is out until late at a business dinner so I bought myself 3 profiteroles in Waitrose and I have just eaten them. Yummy!
Feeling a tad sick now tho. Serves me right for being a piggy.

A bunch of flowers does so much to lift your spirits....even if you have to buy your own.

The roses sound so lovely I might stop and get some tomorrow.

I have lots of flowers still in bloom in the garden, amazing considering it is November!!

If I am down its usually flowers I buy, or a new nail varnish, or lipstick

Serves you right Katy, and so you should feel sickly. You could have shared them with me.(lol)

I love roses of any colour, in fact I love flowers of any kind.

Enjoy your roses sheeco - flowers are wonderful for a feel good factor. Must admit that I am poor at treating myself. I buy what I need to buy but I am trying VERY hard to treat myself too. Now profiteroles......... I could be tempted with them

I often buy myself flowers. There's this book on assertiveness which says "treat yourself as a special friend"
We seem to find this hard, I can buy something expensive for a friend but not for myself so buying flowers does me good

(Morrisons are the best I find)

I buy flowers every week - OH thinks they are just for the house, but really they're for me! I love having fresh flowers.

Sheeco ... lovely, save one to put in a little vase in your bedroom !!

Kate... sweet on the lips and straight to the hips ... Caz and I would have happily helped you with these profiteroles !!

I treated myself to a Galaxy Ripple today .. I adore them !! I felt I deserved the treat having sat for 40 mins at the job centre signing on .. oh it was a grim place today. lol !! The Ripple made up for it !

Scarp xx

I always have flowers in the house which I buy myself, when my husband was alive he bought me flowers every week, since he died I always do the same,my Down's Syndrome son puts them in a vase sets them out on the table next to the chair where his dad always sat and says that they are his dads flowers,It seems to give him comfort, and showes me just how much he loved his dad as we adopted him when
he was only three.

Happy 1000th post Scarpantoni!
What a lovely story Scottishlady, it brought a tear to my eyes.
I too like to buy myself flowers as a treat, better than chocolate i suppose.
