Are you constantly checking your mobile for incoming messages etc? Would you miss it if it was broken? What are your thoughts on the era before mobiles were invented, we seemed to manage perfectly well before they existed....

My mobile is always with me. I would feel totally lost without it and feel safer too.
I don't know how we all coped before mobile phones.

I would feel totally lost without it and cant imagine how I got on before I had it!! I find it so reassuring that I can get hold of the kids when I want, and more important they can get hold of me in an instant. OH works abroad and we message all the time which really helps. Its a wonderful thing. Row

Hi Caz,
Would miss it, if it was not in my handbag, you never know when you might have to use it, anything can happen these days when out and about.
I am not physically attached to mine, ha ha, but would go back home to pick mine up, if I had left it behind at home for any reason.

When I first got mine I rarely used it, except in an emergency. Now I wouldn't be without it and have it on all the time, so essential to get in touch whenever you need to.

Hope I can manage without it as mine has developed a life of its own dialing people and beeping without me touch ing it.
I need to have it looked at and as I don't have a replacement I will be phoneless for a while .HEEEELP
First I have to save all my contacts and photos somewhere else probably on this laptop Wish me luck in phone-free land.

My mobile phone is always with me. OH says it is like my right arm.
I do not keep checking it though. Hence all the missed calls.
Wouldn't leave home without it though.

I worry if I'm out driving, and I've forgotten it or let the battery get flat, just in case the car breaks down or something, as I live out in the country, and would be pretty stuck if that happened. Otherwise I'm not too bothered. Now my internet connection...that's a different matter altogether.... I'd feel really lost without my email link to my friends, even tho we don't email every day!

I would be lost without mine . Was just thinking the other day what a fantastic invention they are as you can keep in touch without disturbing someone by texting. Sometimes you want to contact someone who is going through a tough tiome but dont want to intrude with a phone call so a quick trext lets them know you are thinking of them and they can let you know if they are free to chat.

I would definately be lost without mine although I never use all the texts and calls I'm allowed on my plan every month.

No, not really, but suppose I'd feel lost without it. Keep it mainly for the kids, but they are adults now and like izzy, I don't use all the texts and calls I'm allowed on my plan.

Like Fluffington I have an iphone and would be absolutely lost without it - the phone is the function I probably use least! I surf the internet, read the online versions of the newspapers, check weather forecasts, news headlines, play patience, send personal emails, texts, check bus times..............etc etc etc
Also have a Blackberry which is my work phone and use it to work on email and as my online calendar. It's an amazing device - from a work perspective - would recommend iphone for personal/social use but no way as good as a Blackberry as a business tool.
And they are very compact - I don't have to carry a diary, notebook etc etc.........
Am a bit of a gadget queen - can't you tell!!!
