Good morning ladies, what are you doing today?
      #500199 - 04/11/2009 00:07

I hope you have all had a restful night and you are all up, fit and raring to go....

I had a pain of a day yesterday with my computer. Honestly, I felt like throwing it through the window. Talk about temperamental. Anyhow, I think I am now sorted (fingers crossed). I have restored everything and hope I can now start posting properly again.

So here goes. What have you got planned for today? I am going to the supermarket and cleaning my bathroom. I hope your day is going to be more exciting than mine....

Morning Caz,

It always seems to be you and me this time of the night!

Don't think I've got anything very special on tomorrow. A bit of housework in the morning and then, depending on the weather, either a walk or shopping with a friend.

Sorry to hear your computer's playing up. Mine's not very happy either. I don't know whether it's because I'm spending so long on the forum, but it's overheating and the fan keeps coming on. It roars into life just as I'm concentrating on a PM or something and scares me to death!!

I definitely going to put a laptop on my Christmas present list!!

Rosa x

Hi Rosacarol

Yes it does seem to be me and you on here at this time of a night (or morning) which ever way you look at it. Honestly, I have been faffing about with my computer most of the day today, and have wasted an awful lot of time. But, like I say, I think I have cracked it. My daughter came over and messed about downloading and printing things off, so I am blaming her, cos it was fine before she started fiddling with it. The thing is, it is a new laptop so I can't blame it on the age of the thing. Aaargghh...........

Good morning ladies I am here too, I too have had problems with my computor,it kept
closing down on me with no warning
and of course it was always in the middle of me doing something, had to have E S who is computor graduate look at it ,he started telling me off and saying it was my fault that I had mucked it up,although I still don't know what I am supposed to have done to it ,so I not too politely told him since he taught me all I know about computing he is not as good a teacher as he thinks he is,he strangely enough had no answer to that, but maybe I should have kept quiet as I am wondering what his reaction will be the next time I muck it up and knowing me there probably will be a next time.Off to bed now have a good night.

Good morning ladies

Just logged on. I was really tired last night, so I went to bed early and now I am up early, far too early in fact. I am just having some chill time on the forum before going back to bed.

A usual sort of day for me. Off to work later and then probably exercise class in the evening.

Hope everyone's computer problems are sorted out now.

Wow, you do get up early!

Cleaning downstairs today, then having my hair cut at lunchtime, then taking a dress to be altered.
Then tonight have a meeting about organising a schiool reunion, and still not sure I want to get involved...arrghhh!

Housework day for me..... shopping tomorrow (to avoid Saturday crush for christmas shoppers) and then collecting GDs on Friday for the weekend. So not overdoing it the next couple of days!

Morning to you all!!!! Had best nights sleep for ages, so wasn't on here at a funny hour!!! Have just got a laptop, even though I'm not techno minded, it's lovely to be able to be on here with the dog curled up next to me. My bank has just issued card readers to use when internet banking, just tried to use it for the first time.............Yes, I had to ring the helpline!!!!!! Felt very stupid, but spoke to a nice lady who brightened up my day already!!!
Having half an hour on here, then really must do some cleaning before I go to work.
Looking forward to weekend, 6 of us girls are away in wales, house right on the beach. Plan to do lots of walking, talking and bit of drinking!!!

Managed to get back again, as you can tell, but have friends who cant who have emailed me.

Glad you are enjoying your laptop follydolly - have a great girlie weekend!

Morning all; the sun is shining here at the moment so I'm just about to take the dog out.At nine years old he's finally given up running away from me so I can let him off the lead at last!
Then it's outside to try and rake up the debris from Sunday's storm. Maybe a bit of telly and knitting over coffee later. Why do to-do lists only get longer and never shorter?
Have a lovely day everyone.

Just logged on for the first time, on my brand new Apple Laptop, sorry to all of you having problems, but I'm loving it. Reason for having it? My husband has just been transfered back to Uk after 6 years in Midwest USA, so as all our possessions are still over there it was kind of a sweetner. I have lots of other problems going on with other things, the washing machine being one. Over there my washing machine was the size of a small room could easily put in 10 large bath towels and have them washed in 20 mins! Yikes with this washer/dryer it takes forever to do 3 large towels, guess I had forgotten how things worked over here. But I'll get used to it and I am loving being back. Look forward to hearing what everyone is getting up to.

Morning all,
pouring rain here so thinking of having a duvet day!
have had a rotten few days (family funeral, hubby off abroad for four weeks) so feel I have to mentally regroup before I get planning things like housework and christmas shopping.
Will spend the day catching up on e-mails and the forum of course!

Good morning girls!

Well OH has decided he can go back to work part time after his op, but still can't drive. Muggins here has to drive him to work and go and collect him at 1.00..
I feel very virtuous, I've already done some shopping (cat food and litter) and hoovered the dining room and hall. I'm sitting here with a coffee and biscuit recovering! Will tackle the dusting when I have rallied a little.

This afternoon I am abandoning OH to daytime telly as I have to get my fringe trimmed and meet my Princes Trust mentee for a coffee. We are starting work on his cv today, so it might take some time

Have a great day whatever you are doing!
