Fingerless Gloves
      #500053 - 03/11/2009 20:55

Was with my DIL on Saturday in M & S when she spotted some fingerless gloves. Thought they were great and said my GD would love them for Xmas.

But they were about £18. I KNOW I could knit them for a lot less.
These looked so easy. They didn't even have a thumb section. Just a hole on the side for your thumb to go through.

Does anybody know where I can get a pattern for them please.

Nope.

But I bought some last year in Tesco, or maybe it was Sainbury's, for £3.50. The had half fingers, and a little "Snood" that you folded over to turn them into mittens.

Our air conditioning at work had thrown a wobbly, and I was getting a draught right across my hands. The rest of me was okay, so the gloves worked perfectly!

I knitted some for my neighbours daughter and also DIL. I got the pattern from a knitting magazine. Not sure if I still have it. If so will PM you but will look tomorrow now. Pretty sure I threw it out though.

I saw some pink ones like Wispa described in Sainsburys a couple of days ago. But the ones I bought were plain black ones, just missing the finger ends, for 98p in the 98p shop!!!

So they are out there Scarlets.

Hi Scarlets, Tesco have a good selection of fingerless gloves in a variety of colours, about £3 for 2 pairs. I get some every year. Hope this helps.
