Knife Sharpener

How do you sharpen your knives. Mine are good quality knives but they are getting so blunt with constant use.

Any recommendations?

I never do. I am really a danger to myself with very sharp knives - it is a miracle I still have all of my fingers! It is a standing joke in my house....

you could try one of these, they don't do the one I have anymore, but that's probablly because it's lethal if you are not careful. or you could invest in a sharpening steele like butchers and professional chefs use, personaly I wouldn't want to use one of them as I am too clumsy. Alternatively you can take knives to a local iron monger who will probably be able to sharpen them for you

I sharpen with an old fashioned steel, a few healthy swipes = very sharp knives.

I've taken the steel out of the canteen of silver cutlery I inherited from my MIL. I now keep it in the kitchen drawer and use it nearly every day. One sleepless night I saw a knife sharpener demonstrated on QVC that gets very good write ups but I never seen one "in real life". I used to have a wall mounted one but I ended up with lots of dents on the wall.
