HALOGEN COUNTER TOP OVENS
      #499513 - 03/11/2009 12:47

Have any of you ladies got one of these. They look wonderful but there is a survey in one of today's papers where they are found to be not that brilliant. I have been thinking for some time about getting one and would appreciate your comments.

Yes I read that articule in the Mail. The trouble with all these gadgets is that they sound like a good idea and then when you get them you never end up using them because you can't be bothered, There is always the bother of keeping them clean etc.

I got one and it was hopeless. We bought a small chicken and put it in with veg as described. After 1 hour 45 mins the chicken was burnt on the outside and raw inside. The veg were still hard.I took it back.Perhaps it was faulty but my friend said hers was useless too.

Hi - I bought a NuWave Halogen Counter Top Oven several years ago and it's absolutely brilliant.
If you want to ask any questions I will be only too happy to help.
I didn't read the article in the Mail and so obviously don't know which make they are referring to.
I'm a very keen cook and I feel it's more than earned its place in my kitchen.
If you use it for things it does well then there isn't a problem.
