My Second Week
      #496086 - 29/10/2009 11:46

Well, I've just been weighed and, although it's not as good as last week, I've lost 3lbs - so that's 10lbs in a fortnight. Only 5st 9lbs to go!!! My blood pressure has come down a bit too -so that's good news.

Right then, on to the next week!!

Rosa

Well done rosacarol! I know how hard it is to lose weight and 10lbs is pretty good

Hi Rosacarol,
I think that another 3lb is great because realistically 1-2lb a week is what we hope for. What also is encouraging is to keep a record of your waist measurement because that goes down dramatically in the first few weeks and this gives you an extra feelgood feeling. I actually lost 6" off my waist in two months which made me feel very happy.
Best wishes
Briony

Excellant news !
I am also on a diet - Slimming World and have lost just over 5 stone but sadly still have some way to go. Dont think I will reach 7.5 stone though which is apparently a 'healthy' weight for my height.

Would look like a deflated balloon...

Janmac, congrats!!! I'd ay if you were 7.5 stone you would look ill - and probably feel it.

Rosa, you are close to dropping a dress size - what a motivator. Remeber you are in this for the rest of your life and if the loss slows down, you are still going to way thinner for next summer and more importantly feeling healthier.

Fabulous Rosa, first week is always the most but that is really good and hope it motivates you in the coming week. Blood pressure coming down too is great, keep up the good work.

Thank you all and well done to you Janmac - that's quite a result and very inspiring. I agree with Chilla though, your target weight does seem very low. I'd just go as far as you feel comfortable with and leave it at that. I need to get down to 12st - which for my height is about right. Don't bother doing the maths anyone - it doesn't bear thinking about!!!
