How High are your heels?
      #495881 - 29/10/2009 01:06

I can't wear heels, my limit was always about 2-2.5" but now I just manage a small wedge. Last night I saw Gok Wan and he did a feature on 'great shoes'. They looked dangerous to me but the thing I noticed most was the veins standing out on the models' feet. Such a strain, they surely cannot be comfortable.
Also I often think their feet have slipped so far forward that the shoes look too big. How do you get on with heels?

I went out of heels a long time ago,but at the age of 70 I am back into them and wearing 2 inch heels again,or slightly higher I even dance in them, but then again I was always used to dancing in heels as I was a ballroom dancer in my day,I only wear them for nights out now any other time it is flatties.

I wear all different heel heights. I walk to work in flatties and have a pair of work shoes in my bag. My heel heights vary from about 2 inches to about 4 inches maximum.

scottishlady - loved to read you were back in heels again for your nights out.

I love heels but gone are the days of trying to shop in them. 3" is now my maximum but finding them, that are also trendy is quite a job. I can't wear flats, so always have to have small wedge or heel.

I only ever wear kitten heels now, or trendy flats, except for a special night out and then it's about 3".

I love heels but finding I now end up with a burning sensation in my toes if I walk a great distance. Still on the hunt for some trendy low heel shoes/boots to wear with trousers and jeans. That leads to another problem though - being only 5'2" I wear my trousers as long as possible to give the appearance of extra height. Fine when I'm wearing high heels but not so good when wearing low or flatties!!! Still has to be heels for skirts and suffer!!

HI Crafty - my platforms have a heel of 5.5. My daily shoes are 3.5 and my diva shoes are 4

Have a few low heels, walkiing boots and trainers but am always much happier with a bit of heel as it makes me pull mu tummy in.

Scarp xx

Heels! I wish. I can no longer wear heels higher than 2 inches due to an old ankle injury. Boy do I miss them

For many years when the children were growing up I lived in flat shoes, trainers and low heeled boots, but now I have gone back to wearing heels anythings up to 4ins. I do ballroom and latin dance and my shoes have 2.5/3in heels but sometimes the balls of my feet hurt the best thind I have found are things called party feet (gel inserts). They seem to make even the highest shoe comfortable. I was told by my doctor not to wear to flat a shoe as it plays havoc with your calves and tendons. I thought high heels would cause more probelms it seems not so.
