Poetry anyone?
      #494376 - 27/10/2009 14:23

Long shot, I know!
Would anyone in Leicestershire area like to join a poetry appreciation group, meeting during the day?

Kate,

If I could I would love to join you. What a good idea. Perhaps they should start a forum for poetry, like the book club.
Let me know how you get on

I love poetry, but London is too far away unfortunately

Such a good idea but I am in Ayr - S.W. Scotland. Last year I did a massive clear out of books but could not part with one poetry book. I particularly like Daisy Goodwin's " Poems to Last a Lifetime " has anyone got a book to recommend ?

I came accross a moving poem a while back - called, I think, One night by Anne Gray. It was recommended by Carol Ann Duffy, I refound it by googling her rather than Anne Gray. It's quite poignant and the last line of it memorable.

Hi Kate,

I adore poetry but sadly am too far away from you to join your group in Tunbridge Wells. I particularly like some of the children's poems which can be so funny and thought provoking. I try to write little myself but do not feel that confident to sow anyone!
Have fun anyway and good luck with the group. Let us know how it goes.

It's a specialist subject - could we do a forum thing?

Hi wispa,
Any ideas how we would do it?
I think the majority wouldn't be interested.
