I read an article a while back in W&H about a London store that was excellent at helping you to find great fitting jeans for most women's body shapes. Does anyone remember the details or can recommend such a store. I believe it was in central London somewhere?

I think Gap are supposed to be good for different styles of jeans and finding the right ones to fit you. I'm thinking of trying 'Not your daughter's jeans', an American brand you can get over here - they're expensive but supposed to be very slimming!

Hi there It sounds like the amazing jeans store Trilogy - http://www.trilogystores.co.uk/. There's one in Marylebone and one in Chelsea, but sadly none anywhere else - but you can buy online. Would you find it helpful if we did a round-up of the best styles for different shapes on the w&h website? Let me know, Thanks, Kate Matharu Online editor, womanandhome.com

Getting jeans that fit is a nightmare!! I'm small (in height) so usually have to go with petite ranges which isn't too many. I've also lost my ass - not weight loss - my age!!, so they sag. I would love to know where to get decent jeans at affordable prices.

Definitely recommend Not Your Daughter's Tummy Tuck jeans. Do exactly what they say on the tin. Having now got used to them, I don't find any others as good. Expensive but worth it.

I too love NYDJ, I bought mine on ebay from US and they only cost £50 which is expensive to me for a pair of jeans but they look great on so I would buy them again. If you go for them just make sure you go down 2 sizes, I only went down to a US 8 and should really have gone for a 6.
Kate, It would be great if you could do that for us all. Thanks. Sorry, I have just looked at the Trilogy website and I dont think many working class women could afford a pair of jeans for £175-£200! Please be more realistic when making recommendations. Sorry if this is a bit blunt.

Hi there No problem. I'm happy to do a full round-up on the fashion section of the site for you with plenty of more affordable recommendations - I agree these are more pricey than your average pair - I just wanted to help out by naming the jeans emporium that was being discussed originally. Gap, Topshop, Marks and Spencer and then the well-known denim brands like Wrangler and Lee are all great for different shapes and budgets. I'll get on to it and come back to you in a few days with a full selection. Thanks, Kate Matharu Online Editor womanandhome.com

I find Next jeans really good - they have lots of different styles and different lengths and are not too expensive.

Thank you all very much for your great advice. Trilogy is the one that I remember, so thank you - however, I agree that jeans at £175+ would have to be something really special. Although slim I'm a bit pear shaped and find that to get the fit on the hips you have an overlarge waist and I am not a fan of hipsters. I'll give Next, M&S Gap and Topshop a go again and see what I can find, and probably take my daughter along for some honest 'critique'. As a new user I am amazed by the response, thank you for the welcome, I will follow the forums with interest.

I bought some jeans from GAP recently. I really felt the assistant gave me impartial advice. There are lots of different styles and sizes there.

Morning Hollianta
Did you find some jeans to suit you and your pocket in the end?
These past three or four years I have been buying my jeans from M&S and their per una ROMA range. They are only around £30 per pair and they do various colours, cut styles and long length in the legs plus they fit my natural curvey and high waist.
M&S 'So good' I ordered two pairs on line this year and both fit like and are as comfy as kid gloves My OH likes their look and their ££'s to
I find them great to hid a few odd bits and the stretch holds one's tummy in plus they often come with a free belt to

I am pear shaped and find French Connection and GAP jeans are a good fit but would also reccommend TK Maxx as somebody else did because you get a wide range of makes there and can pick up an expensive pair alot cheaper. I got a pair of 7th heaven ones from there which retail > £100 but paid about £25.
Happy hunting
