What bugs me about W & H
      #435063 - 05/08/2009 20:55

OK, I've got to say it! Last month there was an article about turning your shower into a sauna which told me to "turn on the hot water for 20 mins in your shower ....." Right! Aren't we supposed to be saving the planet/water/electricity???/
I read the post about the star letter and the chocs ..... this month there's a big article about drinking and how dangerous it can be .... so what's the great free offer? Two for one tapas at La Tasca and a FREE GLASS of wine!
The airbrushing is just ridiculous. Joanna Lumley is lovely but she;s 62 and in the papers she has a lived in face, not this oh so perfect one on the front cover. There have been complaints about the Olay Twiggy ad and I don't know why mags do this!
Also all those ads for "psychic" readers. An insult to our intelligence and why are you advertising Chat Lines with a pic of a young woman?????
Apart from that, it's OK
Phew, I feel better for getting that off my chest!

I had more or less stopped reading womens magazines as none of them seemed to be for me. After reading a copy of W & H in a waiting room I was converted. That said its still not a perfect fit, full of clothes and holidays I could never afford and meals I am unlikely to cook, lol. But I do enjoy it.

Or a gas fitter!

No Evianers and bonjour or bonsoir! I'm in Shropshire where there's lots of cows and bees. LOL. Wish I was in France instead!
