All shopped out at Bicester!
      #416600 - 05/07/2009 04:45

Well, we went to Bicester yesterday. Thanks everyone who posted with advice. We arrived at about 11.30 am and the parking was fine, there was no queue, although we parked on the roof section. It's an easy walk across to the Village.

I liked the way it is in the open air, like a little village, especially yesterday when the weather was really good. Did we find some bargains? yes we did and I even got a couple of bits for Christmas (I can hear some groans from here!).

Mr F. really got into the swing and bought a jacket, a suit, five shirts, a pair of shoes and a pair of swimming trunks - he does like shopping though. I was more restrained and bought a pair of shoes and some trousers. The reductions were good, my shoes were from Hobbs and were reduced from £110 to £60. The trousers were from Nicole Fahri and were reduced by about 60%. It would be very easy to spend a lot of money.

Everyone was right, you do have to search though loads of size 8 and size 16 clothes, not so many in between sizes though. We ate at the Villandry and had a coffee at Carluccios before we left at about 5.30 pm. It took us just over 2 hours each way, but we were very lucky with no hold ups on the motorway either way.

Would I go again? Well the answer is yes, Miss F. thinks we ought to go again with her, no surprises there!

F x.

Good Morning Foxie,

Glad you enjoyed your day out.

There is nothing like some retail therapy to brighten up your day. How lovely having your OH enjoy shopping, my OH, cant wait to leave ha ha, he knows exactly what he wants, and just goes for it, anything extra, not interested ha ha.

Sounds like you bagged a few good bargains, and you were both happy with your purchases and that is the main thing.

Plasmo x

I know I am really lucky, he insists on carrying all the shopping too! Miss F loves shopping with him too (surprise, surprise!)
