Hi Girls,
To those who might just have missed me just a little, we have just returned from a great week in Norfolk, had a wonderful time, the weather couldnt have been better, we visited some faboulous places, ate some great food, and the three of us had a really relaxing and restful time, although, at times, our Cavvie really felt the heat. I dont think many dogs have their own personal fan!!!!!! ha ha.
We rented a cottage not too far away from Holt, a lovely little market town, the first cottage that we initially should have had was not to our standard, so we asked to be re-housed, and the second choice was fantastic, it was situated in an acre and a half of land, really peaceful, and with beautiful surroundings, wild flowers, fields, wildlife galore, only this morning, prior to leaving we spotted a white own in the garden.
We also to meet some friends that we hadnt seen for twenty years, we had loads of laughs, talking about old times in Cyprus, catching up with their family, and we remembered our son playing with their two boys, even way back longer than twenty years, when they were three, four, and six, doesnt the time fly and where do the years go.
Missed the forum, and hope that you have all really enjoyed the faboulous weather that most of us have been lucky enough to have.
Glad to be back.

Hi Plasmo - good to have you back. Glad you had a nice holiday but I can well imagine that poor little Cavvie felt the heat. OH and I love Norfolk and we have taken the grandchildren on several holidays there - not too far to travel from Kent. Actually we are going back again for the first week in August to a wooden lodge beside a fishing lake for OH and GS to go fishing - if I can get an internet connection (D has been muttering about dongles) I can spend some lazy time on the forum.

Hi Girls,
Carsma, You get so used to being in contact with everyone, I miss you all when I am away.
Kez, Do I really believe you have been good???
Scarlets, I am afraid, I am not a tennis fan, but glad your OH has enjoyed his bowls!!!!(sorry balls) ha ha.
Spangle, Looking forward to seeing you next week, well done for managing to get so much interest.
Cathy, Yes, the holiday was great, wanted to know how your brother was, do hope he is fine now.
Olisa, I am so envious that you are going to Norfolk later on in the year, it is one of the most beautiful counties in England, its is special to us, because our son was born there, and we were married in North Walsham, love going back, and hope you have a great time when you go with your grandchildren.

Welcome back Plasmo. Glad to hear you had a great holiday.
I haven't been to Norfolk in donkeys years but would really love to visit again - it sounds just the place for me at the mo.
I've been in the UK but am now back on the other side of the Channel where it is hot and wet.

Hi Plasmo
That sounds like a lovely relaxing holiday. I hope to get the chance to explore Norfolk one day. The cottage sounds beautiful.
Do you find, when you meet up with old friends, that you are comfortable straight away, and the years in between just disappear. It should make you feel old, but on the contrary it always makes me as if we're all still young again. And people don't really change...

Hi Scottishmags,
Couldnt agree with you more, all we did was laugh, especially at the way we had changed in appearance, (me much fatter) they both looked the same, albeit for the odd grey hair, (they would have had a real shock if I had not had dyed hair ha ha), and yes, it doesnt make you feel older, its almost as if the years had just stayed the same as to when we were all together. Dont mind saying I shed a little tear when we said our farewells, but we are hoping to meet up again soon.
Cuppie, I thought of you in Norfolk, as I have never seen so many beautiful gardens, open to the public, and also the natural wild flowers everywhere you went, I have never seen so many beautiful wild red poppies.
Hi Oriana,
Hope you enjoyed your stay in the UK, and I am glad you got back home safe and sound, meybe in the future, you might get to visit Norfolk, I am sure you would love it. I have come back home, but would have loved another week down there.

Hi Plasmo
Glad I shall be able to meet you next week at last. I hope the weather stays nice so we can sit outside.
I'm going to a family reunion tomorrow which has been the case ever since my grandparents died. It seemed that we didn't get to meet relatives or old friends until there was a funeral! My mum realised that the best way to keep in touch was to have a reunion every year and it's been a great success for the past 8 years. Life goes so fast so a yearly meet up is a great way to keep in touch. Luckily, one of my relatives as a big farmhouse in Oxford with a large garden so we all have big picnic and the kids can run around. If it rains, we escape to one of the barns!
Pleased you had such a great holiday and that you met some old friends too. Bye for now.

Hi Pinkie,
Really looking forward to meeting you next week, we will all have a great time I am sure of that.
Lets hope the weather does stay nice (we have just had a BBQ, fortunately we had it in the gazebo, with the rain pelting down outside, it was fun), but believe it or not it is bright sunshine at the moment, although clouds are hovering.
What a great idea to have a family re-union, not just for the usual reasons, absolutely ideal.

Hey Virtual Sis/my friend
Have you been away????
Kez has not been a good girl whereas I have been an angel as usual.
The forum has been very quiet and I did wonder why - now I know
Seriously so glad you are back and that you had a great time. Ironically, we have just booked a few days away in Norfolk, in a listed cottage on a lake in early August, taking ES and family (and GDs) so cant wait.
Catch up with you soon my friend.
