Have just joined forum today......total novice at all this but would like to find out about Whitley Bay supper club as live in the area.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I joined the forum about 18 months ago and shortly after that the Whitley BaySupper Club.
We are a friendly, sociable lot who meet about once a month,visiting different local eating places. Attendance varies -the least has been 4, the most 11. Essentially we all love a good chat with good grub and wine!!!! It's a great way to meet and make new friends
Come and join us on 8th July,7pm at Martinos (Italian food) on North Shields Fish Quay.
Let me know if you want to come along as I need to confirm numbers with the restaurant

I live in New Hartley but not many people know where it is, so I use Whitley Bay as it's my postcode and nearest town.
Will just drive along on Wed. 8th July as there's no direct bus, so means only the one drink for me!!!!! But, there will be other times and I'll make better arrangements (probably get hubby to drop me off)

Hi everyone coming.....
Just for information, Martinos is a new Italian restaurant on the North Shields Fish Key, located in some of the old wooden panelled shipping offices on the Quay. Work is still in progress re conversion and the menu plus blackboard specials are comparable in price with Sambucco's.
I have requested an upstairs table in the window with river views......so lets go to Martinos and try it on Wed the 8th at 7pm !!!!!! Any one else want to join us ???? Just let me know

Sorry to have not replied....... been on hols - Prague, Vienna and Budapest. Fab time!!!!
Back to business though - next date I think (can you confirm Maureen) is 9th September cos so many people away on hols in August. Venue is the new Indian/Thai Restaurant the Siam on Whitley Bay Front - the big one on the corner next to the Berkley Tavern.
Look forward to seeing all the regulars, and any new members who want to join us for a great night out - just let me know for the booking numbers

Hi Jean,
Thanks for the response - can't wait to hear about your holiday. I'm up for 9th Sept but have to advise that I've been to that restaurant twice now, once had Thai and once had Indian and service and food not great! I'm happy to join though, just got a meeting at work to rearrange.....
