      #411888 - 22/06/2009 17:05

I am a single mum with a girl (14) and a boy(12) looking for somewhere to go camping in Norfolk. Anyone been to a good campsite? And where is a good place to go? Thanks

Hi Kazzar and welcome to the forum

Can't help you with a camp site but there is soo much to do in Norfolk that I dont think you can go far wrong. I guess with young people too you might want to go to one of the busier areas but I always love visiting the north coast around Blakeney, Holkham (for the beach) etc. There are some ladies on here from the area so I am sure you will get lots of replies.

There is a camp site in Burnham Deepdale near Brancaster Staithe. You should Google it and give them a ring, they also have a hostel and giant teepees that you can stay in.
Never stayed there but know its near a good shop and 'famous for its breakfasts'cafe. The beach at Brancaster is fab, Blakeney for crabbing and Morston quay for catching the boat to see the seals off Balkeney Point. I would happily live in North Norfolk. We try to go as often as we can. Plenty of walking, relaxing and just enjoying.
Further inland are plenty of attractions if the weather is bad. The steam train from Sherringham to Holt is good fun and I think Sherringham also has a huge swimming pool , again, for the bad weather.
Wells next the sea is nice place to walk along the front with a bag of chips or you can gat a little train down to the beach in the high season.

Have a fab time. I want to go again now.
