Has anyone been to Menorca? If so did you visit Cuitadella, what's it like? My OH and I are thinking of going in September.

Haven't been for 9 years, but until then used to go every year with my OH and kids and stay outside Mahon. Of the two 'cities' I prefer Mahon but Ciutadella is nice too. Anywhere in Menorca will be nice in September.

Hi Fiona
Yes went there twice, stayed in a place called Cala `Bosch.
Ciutadella is lovely, lots of good markets, nice eateries, quite an old town.
Would strongly advise renting a car and going to some of the more out of the way beaches, fabulous for snorkelling if you like that.
Enjoy
Paula

Two beaches near Ciutadella, just got out my holiday snaps and have been reliving lovely memories,Cala en Turqueta and Cala des Talaier. The town (city) was the original capital of Menorca so plenty of history there, beautiful walled areas, gorgeous harbour(especially lovelyat night time).and a lovely Cathedral.
Menorcan people are particularly gentle, gracious and kind.

You will love it
Paula

Been 3 times, stayed at Calen Bosch. Ciutadella is lovely, really easy to walk around. Hope you have a great time.

Hi all,

Thanks for all this - very helpful and we may well follow it up at some stage. Sadly all travel plans on hold as my elderly mother is not at all well and taken a bit of a downward slide so we daren't book anything at the moment.

F
