Where can I get a 'Norah Batty Pinny'?
      #410009 - 18/06/2009 15:35

I need an old fashioned wrap -around pinny like my granny wore up here in Newcastle, probably southern grannies wore them too, or a sewing pattern to make one. I'm bidding for one on e-bay but haven't 'won' it yet.

Southern grandmas wore them too, over their clothes in the morning whilst they were 'bottoming out' the house. The only place I could suggest would be an old fashioned habi store. Does anyone know of one?

Ended up having to make ours as we couldn't find them anywhere. Possible a theatrical costumiers (think Mrs Overall from Acorn Antiques). We would have tried those but of course left it too late.
