I am a newcomer to this site and find it confusing to use. I do not understand how to use the icons and whether or not I am supposed to prepare a profile.
I belong to another site which is more straightforward to get started, any tips welcome.

Hi Cecile and welcome to the forum - most people just post a Hi I'm New type post to introduce themselves (I didn't cos I didn't know you were suppose to). A few general details about yourself are nice to read but nothing too personal. Just plunge in and get started everyone is very friendly. As for the more technical stuff I'll leave that to those more able to explain. If I can manage on this forum it can't be too complicated.

Welcome Cecile

I joined the Prima site and I could not get me head around it at all. I finally gave up. The only thing that I can not do with this site is work out how to get the fabulous animations that the girls have. Some of them are excellent.

Give it time, you will get the hang of it - I promise

Hi Cecile and welcome

I just had a bit of a listen for a week or so then joined in. As others have said you can post to say hi if you like, many people do but I didn' t realise so was a bit slow! Doesn't matter either way

Look forward to chatting to you... what are you interested in?

Welcome Cecile

Dont bother about your profile. You can always do it at a later date.

You will find this Forum really easy to use. It will take up a lot of time though as you will really want to open up all the letters. Some really good advice

Go for it.
